There was a time when I loved dogs, now I just respect them. My next door neighbor loves his dogs, but we do not have fences and one day my wife was taking out a bag of trash when the dogs (six of them) charged her and she dropped the bag and ran into the house. The dogs attacked the bag, eating the food scraps in side. After that every time she went out the dogs would come after her, thinking she would give them something to eat. I when out to my shop and they tried that crap with me. I pulled out my pistol and fired it into the air above them and they ran back home. My neighbor call me and I explained the situation: My wife and I are ex-police officers and There was a guy who shot his wife in the head and carried her to the emergency room. I went on the call and learned that she had been shot, but the bullet had been removed prior to him bring her dead body to the hospital. I obtained a search warrant for his apartment and found the bloody pocket knife on the counter and the bullet in the trash. He was arrested and placed in jail. Time passed and eventually he came to trial and plead guilty to man slaughter and receiver fifteen years. In the state of Louisiana you get credit for time served and time off for good behavior. He was out in five years. We saw him walking the streets. I have a cousin who killed his wife and mother-in-law and was out in about five years. Saw him walking the streets picking up aluminum cans. Point is the first guy in form the area I now live in, add that to the list of people my wife and I have arrested, I am either armed or walking from a gun or to a gun. None of his dogs ran loose after that.

Neat derringer obviously easy to conceal....insofar as Scott aka AU24k he's been doing lots of overtime and he's on a couple of forums he does admin for, etc....he's a busy guy I'm sure he'll drop in time permitting.

Hey 45_johnny, if that derringer is a .22 caliber, my mother has carried one just like it but nickel plated, for as far back as I can remember and I’m in my fiftys

Anyways into every life a little rain ALWAYS FALLS!!!!!!!!

My friends here know my wife is gone on a 2 week cruise. Hopefully back Saturday. I was in a helicopter crash in 08, a 107mm rocket blew me off my feet then too. I was told I had a TBI, traumatic brain injury. memory not what it use to be, forget small things blah blah blah........Well a couple days during this trip of my wife, I have had some testing. My Dr said theat she thinks I have the beginnings of demtentia..............I said "well thats great." "I wont remember the bad things my FAMILY has done to me and everytime I meet friends, it will be for the first time. So Im going to have a lot of new friends........hahahahahaha

All kidding aside, REALLY.......What the hell...........just one more thing to deal with, but hell I'm still vertical right? Oh I am so full of emotion right now. So RC guess what I am going to do? Yeup make myself COLD, WET AND SANDY...........HOOFREAKING YA! Ill be alright. So let me apologize to all now for pissing you off at sometime in the future.............Dang cant buy a vowel......I am going to wait to tell her, she leans on me for everything. I'm going to get a second opinion...

With all you've been through a bit more craziness shouldn't get you down.....maybe the doc is the one with dementia and she made a bad call.

Lots of fruits and veggies with high antioxidant properties should help....throw lots of tumeric in your food also you can keep this latest hurdle at bay with a bit of research and effort oh yeah and try to get in some daily walks to keep the blood flow moving to the old noggin...just listen to uncle Bill.

Hey ,I'll give you a second opinion for free...You're short too! ( kidding).

My non professional opinion where trauma has been involved is the brain has survival as a priority. Not minutia.
Can you remember your future plans? That is more than survival ,but important enough.

Most folks don' t know what was for dinner the 25th of last month ,or have an alibi as to where they were.
I am highly suspicious of those that claim to remember.

Anyway. You'll know when your clutch is slipping before your mechanic will.

2GF: It is a .22 mag. I gave the nickle plated one to one of my sons, just last week.

After the artillery fire and bombs, I could only hear muffled sounds, constant ringing in my ears. Diagnosed as high sensory nerve damage, I thought it may have been a traumatic brain injury, but it was not. Recently I have had problems remembering things, "No short term memory" it turns out it was because of Metformin and I have stopped taking that and started taking Chromium for my diabetes. It seams that some of the VA doctors push medications from certain drug companies even though they are known to harm you just to get the bonuses the drug companies offer. They were so intent on pushing the Metformin they neglected to refill my test kit supplies. That is not the first time the VA doctors have done that, I had been of a high blood pressure medication for years and VA doctor abruptly changed it. I asked the pharmacists about the change and He said that it was probably cheaper and checked. The old Rx was about $ .18 cents each, the new one was $1.39 each. He then told me about the Pharmacy Scam, where they earn vacations and how the purchase stock in the companies. On top of that I later had a great VA doctor in Biloxi, MS who retired and later un-retired, because he could not live on his retirement. He told me if he had been practicing in New Orleans he could have lived like a King off the scams they pull there.

Anyway our day is coming on November 11.

Son #3 made a shovel guitar for his daughter #1, what a great dad he turner out to be. Well, actually they all four did. Can't say that about two of my daughters, guess they turned out like there mothers. One girl turned out great, like her mother.
