No sleep for 48 hours and sitting on my favorite pair of glasses lit the fuse.

I'm OK now.

Fortunately, I have other glasses around here....

I've lived in Kansas and Oklahoma.
Been through a few myself, and studied Meteorology in College...



Makes me think I should be camping.....

Another quick story...

About camping in my mountains....

One night I was camping and a bad storm reached the mountains.

A possible tornado hit only a few miles away.

I had prepared for heavy rain, but not the severe storms.

When the hail started, I found refuge in my truck.
The hailstones hitting made me fear that my windshield would break.

My truck shook violently....

As the wind had it's way, I watched my tent being uprooted and fly down the mountain.

When the storm was over, I hiked down the mountain and retrieved my tent.

I then made a fire and prepared a meal fit for a King!

One of the best camping trips ever!

Yeah, I LOVE Camping!
And I love my mountains!

Yeah. We were all looking for a ticket home....
And a payday.

That Colonel was a lucky SOB.... A medal was eventually awarded for that night.....
Don't recall what it was called or the name..

It don't matter. Just another one.....
Medals are just cheap trinkets awarded for life or death....
I lived....
And nobody was killed.
