The Peralta Stone Maps, Real Maps to Lost Gold Mines or Cruel Hoax?

Do you think the Peralta stone maps are genuine, or fake?

I think that pretty much all treasure hunters have a strong sense of history.

Sorry to hear of your accident Blindbowman, but glad to hear that you are recovering well. Good luck and good hunting to you, sure you won't mind if the rest of us keep hunting those legendary lost mines and treasures even if you have already found them, after all the real treasure is in the finding, as Robert Service put it so well:
There's gold, and it's haunting and haunting; It's luring me on as of old;
Yet it isn't the gold that I'm wanting So much as just finding the gold.

Dang it now getting homesick for that cussed frozen north too!

HOLA Real deTayopa! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours, and for that matter to everyone here on T-net, even those I have ticked off. ;D

Love those assay reports from your Escondido! I noticed pretty good silver values along with the gold - might be worth buying a propane fired assayers kiln (assuming your dore production is not too much to fit in it) and do a bit of home-refining? With silver prices so nice now it would pay your time I think to process it, you know how the gold refiners want to KEEP all other values besides gold for "free".

Of course China is eating up all the silver in the world! They need it for all the microcircuitry in their new ballistic missiles aimed at us and Taiwan (the technology for was bought through Bill Clinton. Sorry, couldnt resist).

Happy Thanksgiving!

Greetings Don,

it seems to me they must be total fakes and complete lies.

Not "calling you to task" but would you care to elaborate? What "cinches" the case in your view? Thank you in advance,
Oroblanco

Come on B,

You know as well as I do that if China attacked Taiwan, we would be obligated to assist in their defense.

You also know that because of enormous ILLEGAL campaign contributions, China has had unfettered access to electronics and information that is supposed to have been off-limits to them. Two names: Johnny Chung and Liu Chao-Ying. One term: "Ballistic Missile Technology"

What Nixon did had nothing to do with what Clinton and the DNC did! I'm all for becoming friendly and encouraging trade with some countries we have mostly ignored. I firmly believe that if GWB was a sharper guy, he could have gotten us a lot farther with Iran, Syria, and N. Korea by talking face to face. It's like child psychology: When you don't pay attention to a kid, the act out in order to get that attention. It's not good attention, but it's the attention they want! See, I'm a great closer. If I were Pres, I would sit down privately with Ahmedinajad and Assad, and ask them face to face, "Hey look, We KNOW you guys are the ones behind all this insurgency (and show them the proof). What are you trying to gain? I ask because you are putting me in a bad way. If this keeps up, I will have no choice but to show this evidence to the world. Then what do I do? I think you know what will happen if the American public finds out that you two are behind the deaths of about 3000 American Soldiers." Then just sit back and shut up. Let them stew over that thought for a while.

It's just like a car deal. Find out what excites the customer, and play up those parts. Find out what scares the customer, because this information can be useful as well.

Best,

Mike

Everybody has their own ideas what the different symbols on the stone maps mean. If those symbols actually fit in with your ideas, and they lead to things on the trail (real or perceived), that's how they form their conclusions.

There are, however, some people who form conclusions based on what they read, and pictures they see, without ever hiking or riding into the mountains. Those are the comic relief of treasure hunting.

well if a truck broke ill figure it out but the symbles and what the letters mean got me example blind indicates 1500 feet high 140 ithink compass just no understanding how yes i anit that smart but currious

Being smart has nothing to do with anything Demon.

Once the actual method for making the code is found, decoding the words would be easy for ANYBODY.

But, even a lot of smart people have tried to figure out the stone maps over the years, and nobody has yet. Don't feel like the Lone Ranger!

Most of what I have done is to find out if it were possible for the stones to be modern fakes, because if that is true, why waste the time to try figuring out the code? If it can be proven that the stone maps carvings are over 140 years old, then it may be worth the time to try and figure out the code.

Mike

to find out if it were possible for the stones to be modern fakes

And there we have the tale/tail/root of this whole thread; are they genuine and old or not? If they are, then it seems logical that it would be worth your time and trouble to work out the coded info on them, if they are not, it seems logical that it would not be worth your time to work them out.

There are enough 'expert' opinions around to support either position, so the treasure hunter really has to decide for him/herself with these stones.

Not necessarily Oro,

That's why I am doing all this exhaustive research. If the majority of the evidence supports them being authentic, I will see what I can do about decoding them. If ALL tests were inconclusive, or say thyey are modern, I won't attempt it.

And by saying "supports them being authentic" I mean that if the tests performed on them made the testers come to the conclusion that they are at least 140 years old (now).

Best,

Mike

Not necessarily Oro,

I'll take that as there may not be enough 'expert opinion' in support of their being genuine. ;)
Oroblanco

There's plenty of "expert" opinions (as long as you keep the word EXPERT in quotes). ;D ;D ;D The absolute greatest majority of opinions are based on BS stories about the Stone Maps, that have been floating around for about 50 years.

Until about a month agoi, I could count the people who had any REAL knowledge about them on one hand. There has been more REAL knowledge about the Stone Maps posted in the last month, by three people than there has in the last 50 years. And that list will jump to four in a bit with your wife included!

Now, by REAL knowledge, I mean knowledge about the stones' life since 1949. It's so funny, because that should be the easiest span to prove, but has had more BS printed than anything. AMAZING!

Mike

[=gollum .

SO true gollum, so True. When I look back, it seems impossible that no-one else - to my knowledge - ever knowingly found Tayopa. The codes and tricks were/are not that sophisticated. I can only suppose that a pre-set mind on what to look for and where handicappped most.. A-la-Dutchman.

I was helped in that most of the data and stories on Tayopa were easily discredted , and many others discounted, thus leavng me with an open mind.

Hint, always go with an open mind!

Even YOU or Djui could have EVENTUALLY figured it out, Oro prob. as soon as he saw the data, but then, he has Beth to back him up.
