Weird couple of weeks on the rollercoaster ride that are tellers. Came out way ahead tho. First was a teller who had some loose halves, I could see a 90%. $7 and she stared counting them out in front of me.. Came to the silver half, looked at it and put it aside. I politely said I'd like to get that one too and she said she saves them for another customer... I said you can just keep them all and walked away.

The next week I get to my pick up bank for halve boxes and one teller saved me $5 is silver washingtons. (The other 2 I picked up from a different bank, teller offered them up on her own will). It made my week and put things back in perspective. I was letting that prior experience kinda get to me... That should never be the case. HH!

That '49s also filled a whole I had too. It completed all my post 40's and 50s wheat cents. I've got a ways to go on the pre 40s.

Early post this week headed on vacation :hello2: found a nice roll amongst a $580 pickup of halves... Figured it was mostly a dump but always buy them all right!?!?! Found 11 40% in one roll, the rest were skunks in that pickup. A few of the clad were out of mint sets and so were a few of the 40%. The '66 pictured I believe is out of a special mint set (SMS) and a '67 not pictured is too - in my album as a hole filler. A few nicely toned 40% as well.

Better than nothing! I am going to try and do some coin roll hunting abroad while on vacation.... We'll see what happens

That '66 is nice! I'd take that haul all day long. Have a nice vacation!

Since my order was missed I hit up a bunch of banks on Friday about 30 miles south. Picked up over $1500 in cwr. Pickups of $760, $400, $200, and other smaller amounts. I thought there may be a few in the $750 pickup, I always find silver at that bank. Ended up with one roll having 6 40%, the other 75 were skunks. A few other 40% scattered from the other pickups. A little of everything last week HH!

And one today (which I'll post next week for this weeks update). That makes a silver dime out of the coinstar 4 of the last 5 weeks.... Inching closer to a full roll of silver dimes out of coinstar.. About 35 total

$50 bag - still counting.... Dream bag of wheats?!?!?!

Ok found a little silver but the story this week is the $50 bag of cents I bought at a dump bank.... Yes not recommended but exception to the rule here.

I haven't tallied anything yet... But I'm thinking 15-20% of the bag are wheaties

Pics to come, maybe a separate post. Here's the short story. Dumped my halves, and the lady brings back my bags and ticket. We start chatting and she brings up that a lady came in last week with hundreds.... Yes hundreds of rolls of wheats cents... They run the coin themselves so they took in all the rolls and ran them through the machine one x one... Which she said it took over an hour...She mentions she's is going to buy a bag herself.... So I ask, knowing they've told me they don't allow it, if I may buy a bag. She says I'll check and a few minutes later she has a bag for me!!!!!!!

This bag is the first bag they filled up so it had memorial cents in it from previous customers coin run through before it filled up. If I'm not mistaken there are a few more bags back there.... Possibly just wheat cents.... :censored:
Going back soon to see if I can't charm my way into another bag...

That is awesome! I don't know what it is, but finding wheats gets my heart pumping as much as silver.
