Fun week with the different finds. 2nd 70s I've found and the 6 pence was odd. It's about the size of a cent, it was stuck in the dime roll.... Thought for certain I was going to be shorted 9 cents :tongue3:

Congrats on the variety, between the 70S, merc, and Australian silver, I'd say it was an interesting week!

You know I found one of those 1950 Australian 6 Pence coins too a few months ago in a cent roll!!!

That's cool, makes sense you found it there... That's exactly what it looked like! Foreign silver coins are always a welcome find!

The clipped planchet was a nice find to a skunk and the Elvis "commemorative" half made me smile. It actually is silver rimmed and fooled me, the sticker is on a 2015 half

That clipped planchet is cool... I've got them for every minor denomination except the Half and the Nickel.

I never have searched this many boxes in a week before.... And it won't happen again :laughing7: I ordered my usually one box at a loomis bank. Decided to order 2 boxes from a Garda branch to see what I would find... Skunks - beside the funny stamped proof halve below.

My loomis bank ordered an additional 5 boxes on accident, so I decided to lighten there load. Didn't turn out bad! Every box had silver in it. Better than usual for sure! Getting close to 100 oz for the year... Don't think I'll hit my 125 oz goal

Very nice, 8 boxes is a lot of volume to deal with. At least the bank that accidentally ordered extra turned out to have decent boxes! Good luck with your goal, there is still a couple of weeks left!

For sure... I'm still dumping, almost done though!

Ended the year just over 100 oz. The goal was 125, but I will take the 100 oz any year. Finished at 100.2291, probably at 101 oz with the Canadian and foreign silver I found. It was a fun year and here's to a fantastic 2017:occasion14:

Longest Half Dollar Box Skunk Streak - 10
Longest Half Dollar Box Silver Streak - 9 *** Ended the year on the 9 box silver streak and really helped my box totals.

Summary - Best find was the 4 solid rolls of Rosies and 2 solid rolls of wheat cents. Boxes really picked up in the finds, and I hope the streak continues into 2017. My dump bank has changed their coin counter policy. Only $200 at a time without a fee... was $400. This will cause my strategy to change... will have to start rolling some coin I think.

The quarter roll score was a great start to 2017 - a quick 3 ounces of silver. Most of the dates were 40's and 50's, I did get one hole filled, a 54s. The boxes continue to be hot! My silver streak is now up to 11 boxes. The Bender was cool and thought for sure he would have friends in the box, but he was a loner. HH!
