Will there be a new Tesoro for 2015?

The guy is a joke. You can't say anything other than glowing things about Tesoro or he'll call you a troll, say you don't know what you're doing, or that you are just bashing Tesoro. You can't get or give honest feedback over there.

oh, there is one on here also coinstrikingmichigan. a guy came on here asking for help a bit ago and he was told he was a trouble maker, etc. there is at least one in every crowd.

That doesn't surprise me at all. Some folks have an irrational love affair with things, and won't tolerate differing opinions.

Tabman does love his Tesoros, as do I. However, if you read his stable list he also has a Fisher, Garrett, and Teknetics in the rack.

Right but he will only allow positive reviews of Tesoro products. If you say anything negative he will call you a troll, trouble maker, or try to discredit you. Now I'm not a wealthy guy, so when I am able to purchase a new detector I try to read as much as I can about a certain model before plunking my cash down. I want to read positives and negatives. False praise doesn't help anyone and that's all you get from Tesoro Tabman.

That guy is the biggest phony, I think he gets paid or some type of kickback for every fake find he posts.

Other than the lifetime warranty, the main thing that keeps me reaching for a Tesoro more than any other machine is the CleanSweep coil. Only time ever I had to use the warranty was for a busted CleanSweep coil. Loved my eTrac, love my Deus, found enough jewelry with that damn CleanSweep coil to afford both of them. Detectors cycle in and out of the rack but 2 of those coils are permanent fixtures for me. Always wanted to wire a CleanSweep to a Compadre and call it done for the Tesoro selection, but there goes the warranty.

We have one on the Garrett forum also.

In the end these extreme brand loyalists are a bunch of irrational lunatic FANBOYS.
If Dr.Pepper made a better machine I'd jump on board. No brand loyalty is the easiest and smartest way to go with any product for a hobby.

I own several brands and each for a different reason. Because in reality, there is no "best" machine at any price. There is always one that will do something better.

Your damn right Jason! Well said

You know, I've been called an extreme brand loyalist, an irrational lunatic, and a FANBOY, but I am also frustrated with the stupid marketing moves Tesoro has made since James left the Company. When Jack's health became an issue a couple of years ago the new machine(s) in the pipeline stagnated as Vince started trying to do everything. Being an engineer, Vince doesn't have expertise in marketing and took some very bad advice announcing the new release before all the engineering was complete.

I am an Arizonan, and I consider Vince and Rusty Henry personal friends. I hope they can solve whatever the problem is soon, but until they do, I will still be using the tried and true Tesoro models I own, as well as my Minelab machines. What I like about this thread is that it points out that there are fanatics that follow EVERY brand. I continue to believe that Tesoro offers some of the best machines - at the best prices, available on the market today.

Glad you agree Atomicscott. And to Terry I must say that I have never heard you criticize Tesoro like that. I do believe and concede that you are more in the know of what is going on over there in Arizona than most others.
I respect your comment Terry.
I have said many times in other forums that I just don't think Jacks kids are as passionate as their dad. Nice guys I am sure. But after what you said I do feel as though that the company may get sold off someday and this cazadors failure or success holds the fate of the company as it exists.

I hope Tesoro gets it together, they are one of those American companies i would like to see for a long time to come.

I have decided to try to stay all American with my equipment for various reasons. I'm really liking Whites with the old aluminum box and comfortable rod config. Many say that this old proven design is the reason they will fade into obscurity. I sure hope Tesoro and Whites can survive, but unfortunately most of the younger folks and a few of the older detectorists, don't see it that way.

I really like Whites, First Texas, Garrett, Tesoro, im of the opinion that all these companies are fantastic and the best on the market and design great products with some innovating more than others. My fear is that some of these companies have become stagnant in the innovation department and will become outclassed unless they evolve. Just look at the Deus $940 and its performance in such a small package (15 micron build and all very modern surface mount components), the market has changed quite a bit in the last 5 years in regards to electronics. I'm an IT consultant ,network technician and have witnessed a dramatic uptick in the last 5 years. It is quickly evolving with the exponential growth of electronic processing power, power draw and efficiency. Some don't see these companies evolving, im optimistic that they will.

Seems like every year we have this thread on Tesoro. Why do we all ASSUME they are going down the tubes? Doesn't seem anyone has the inside scoop.

I just wish Tesoro would keep in contact with folks more frequently. Even just periodically stopping on the forums to say they are working hard on the Cazador. They just don't say anything. Nathan Jaeger doesn't seem to be on the forums near as mud as Alcav was.
