Will there be a new Tesoro for 2015?

I noticed awhile back they had a new Gal in their Employee Lineup, I do not remember her title but when I read her title IMO it sounded like she was qualified for the Cazador project. She has since been removed from the lineup.

:laughing7: Three years to change stickers and the color of the control box? While the first part of my post is a joke, I don't see Tesoro bringing any detector to market that will surpass what the other big manufacturers have put out in the last decade. There is only so much that can be done with VLF. and even BBS is getting stale.

I do believe this to be the truth. VLF is still VLF. In my opinion the best VLF machines are already made. The trend seems to be manufacturers just making VLF detectors that are more suited for a particular task instead of an all around detector. So really I don't see what all the hype is. No matter what they put out it will be a VLF detector.

I would be happy with a Vaquero with a 2-tone feature. And maybe adjustable tone break. A trigger switch for pinpoint would be nice too.

Has anyone else talked to Vince or anybody else at Tesoro? What is up with the rumors of a new machine, then silence for a year?
I spoke to Vince several weeks ago. Sounds like he's running the show solo, but sounded like they have new products in the pipeline. Give him a call....

Amen, digger! But then would it really be a Tesoro? I'm just hoping for good news on the Tiger I traded for a couple weeks ago. Seems water weaped it's way in through headphone strain relief. It was working so well on the solo dive, until it started going bazerk! I almost threw up when I got up on the dock and saw the thimble full of water come out of the control box!

i just would like to see something with a small control box, like the vaquero to be waterproof. can use with or without headphones. so you can hunt a stream or river shallows with no need to worry about it getting wet. and possibly adjustable audio. the toggle switch pinpoint does not sound bad either. heck, just put manual ground balance for both modes on a deleon and waterproof it to 10 feet would be great. how freaking hard would that be? haha. never understood why they put manual GB on the cortes just for all metal mode. i feel it is like having a really fast sports car and putting old, worn out tires on it.

True, kinda like the Lobo with no adjustable GB in disc. People have been fantasizing about what this new Caz will be like for nearly 2 years now. I'm kinda over it. Doesn't look like it will be out this year either. For my 2¢, I hope they can come up with a 4 tone with GOOD disc circuitry (like the Compadre) adjustable GB and some new packaging with dustproof pots. The off the shelf pots they use now are way too susceptible to dust IMO.

"..new products in the pipeline."
Hope it's not the Keystone Pipeline...that could explain the long wait.
:dontknow:

Tired of waiting. Wanting a loaner/back-up machine, and to tell the truth just a new toy, and was holding out to see what was coming from Tesoro. VERY disappointed that I have waited this long. Has kind of made me loose faith in them. Thinking I will go another route as it seems they may be having some issues within.

"...may be having some issues within"
I believe it's called "getting it right before placing on the market".
Would you rather have a rush job and then wait for the recall notice?
Patience grasshopper.

I think TN may be referring to the fact that it has been nearly 2 years since the announcement of the new machine. Why introduce a new model 2 years before you actually "get it right"? That is not how they rolled out the Outlaw.

Yep, think it would be fair to say that most companies would announce that a new machine is definitely coming well after the it was in the works, and more likely when it is nearing actual production. Didn't take the time to look back on the threads, but it has been a while to say the least. From a marketing standpoint this hasn't, in my opinion, been a great move. I have held off for a while now, and with no estimated time from them, will likely do something different. Have always liked Tesoro, the few I have owned anyway, and just wanted to get back in the saddle with them. Maybe not a bad thing to purchase something else for now, and see how the reviews go once it's out. HH

Tesoro detectors have been used by many and found mountains of treasure,a well tuned Tejon cibola vaquero and Lobo will go deep very deep ....nad they got a very selectivity and recovery speed after all maybe we reached the limit of the VLF raw power
power....yes a cibola waterproof will be good some other coils too.

That was me that lit Tabman up on findmall. That guy is so brainwashed its pathetic. He probably uses the Tesoro website as a normal man
uses a Hustler.

Lmao! You are killing me Jason, lol! So true though.

The guy is a joke. You can't say anything other than glowing things about Tesoro or he'll call you a troll, say you don't know what you're doing, or that you are just bashing Tesoro. You can't get or give honest feedback over there.

Ewwwwww...his control knobs are sticky?!? Since we are comparing Tesoro to Hustler it would have to be a 1979 copy...
