Hey Seahunter...

Hi Scott, I was hoping to meet you and a lot of the other forum members at the Expo, but I couldn't get the time off from work. We have a crew doing some bridge work and a guy off on his honeymoon, so I'm left here. Oh well... :'(

I would still like to plan a trip down to dive with you guys. All the pictures you have been posting makes me drool ... :P

Your success and generosity sets an example for all of us to follow. Thank you so much for sharing this experience.

Hope to meet you someday soon. Maybe mid to late August?

Thanks,

Wayne

they have an awsome display! all finds from this season! the state sent the finds from last year and the are in the display they made this week. you can hold them, feel them, and buy them. they took the time to look a struck coin from 1658 or 59 for me. pegleg is so cool. i thank him and all involved for a wonderful time had by all. no storms today so far. 4:30 speech from the expo starting need to go. update later! ben

Thanks for the update bucket for those of us who couldnt make it. Hope all is having a good time.

Hello Seahunter,

We will be coming to Florida Thursday, but I am bringing both of my kids, so I probably will not be able to go diving. My youngest is 8 and I dont think he would want to stay on the boat all day. I was going to get a babysitter and just bring my oldest son but I think my youngest son really wants to go to Florida too. We will be staying near Sebastian and doing lots of detecting on the beach. I am a single dad and try to do things with both of my kids. Maybe I can sneak off by myself before the season ends.

I am thinking the same. Where was the survivors camp? Is that private property? Was the inlet in the same place back then?

Hello Everyone
I apologize for not answering sooner. Was a little busy with the show and diving, and just finally got a chance to sit down at the computer. I am glad everyone liked the photos, I was very impressed when we received them from the photographer. Gives me a whole new perspective.

Lee, sorry you could not make it, but it will happen when the time is right.

Malady, we enjoy it even more when we share them. You are welcome.

Dell and Bucketofguts, we enjoyed meeting you at the show.

Wayne, I am looking forward to your next vacation.

We would like to thank everyone who visited us at the Expo, we really enjoyed meeting all of you and look forward to the next time.

Scott

Man! I'd love to dive but have no gear, no certification and have never dove before but I'd volunteer as a deck hand or deck scrubber or whatever I could add to the mix even if just to say I did it once! I wish you all the best and lots of gold and silver. I've enjoy all the photos as well.

Well, This is a Grande Thank You to SeaHunter for having me aboard on Saturday! We had a day of perfect weather, great vis,and managed to find a few coins. The Pulse8 even chirped for me! Along with Doug and Dustin,it was a full day,and we moved a lot of sand and a bunch of stone too.We dove some textbook holes.Their site is prosperous,if anyone can take Scott up on his offer ,It's truly a chance of a lifetime. The 1659era coins recovered so far are very attractive and a great addition to anyones collection. Thanks again, Crzhors 8)

Hi Crzhors

We enjoyed diving with you and look forward to your next visit. Here is a picture of you checking under the rocks where you found the coin.

Hi Seahunter!

I would really love to dive with you and try and find some of that shiny stuff!

I have about 15 days of vacation left for the rest of the year and won't take 1/2 day without hearing from you.

Could you send me an E-mail @ jf2hrum@tch@rt3rd0tn3t and let me know what you need to know to decide if it would work for you for me to come dive?

BTW: Decipher code for E-mail address is 2=s, @=a, 3=e, 0=o.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Hi CapnROn5969
Got your email and I am impressed with your qualifications. Letme know when you can get free for a couple days. As far as finding the shiny stuff the closest we have come is a large chunk of molten metals that appears to have gold as well as other metals. It is three inches long by an inch and a half wide and half an inch thick. Have not weighed it but it is real heavy for its size, probably half a pound.
