Thanks for the pictures Seahunter, It must be tough to stay out of the water when there is always a new treasure adventure waiting at the bottom

Jeff

Those look great Scott, lots of fond memories of pulling those out from under rocks and up from crevices are dancing in my head...I am REALLY ready to get wet again! See you soon!

Jason

Jason,

Do you know when you'll be in town again? Cat and I will be down the first week in June.

Hey Don,

Right now, the only trip I have tentatively planned is on either side of the 4th of July, waiting for some locals here to get back with me and then we will schedule it with Scott. If you'll be down the first week of June, I may try to get there also, but I have some stuff to do North of Jupiter as well. Scott is a pretty easy guy to schedule with if you give him enough notice, good luck and hopefully I'll see you there.

Jason

Hi Jason,

We are looking forward to meeting Scott, however we are not sure which handle he is using aka SeaHunter?? or something else. Either way I will ensure that he has all the specifics as to where we'll be staying and how to contacts us. Hope to see you in June, if not we will try for another time frame. Also, who else should we contact while we are in Jupiter??

Don

Scott = SeaHunter - He is the main man for Jupiter. If you are going there and want to hunt, I'd contact him and him alone. I think Skip and maybe Scotty live there also, but Scott is the guy you need to clear everything with.

Hello Capt_t
Yes we allow 15 year old divers who are with their fathers, I apologize for not answering sooner.

Here is a link to a slideshow of all the pistures on this thread. When you see the picture of the " Seahunter " just click on the button to the left for the slideshow.

SEAHUNTER

You said in a previous post that you had conducted a sea search
with a JW Fisher Pulse 10. Correct me if I am wrong, the Pulse 10
is a pulse induction metal detector not a magnetometer. The Pulse 10
does use a large (18-inch) search coil mounted on top of a tow housing.

I have the 18-inch search coil and it attaches to my infamous Pulse 8X
metal detector. At the present time I am working on installing the large
coil on a sled to tow behind a boat for bottom searches. Placing the
coil directly on the bottom has a lot of advantages using the metal detector.

From all the reports I have heard the Pulse 10 doesn't perform as well
as advertised. Correct me if I am wrong.

I am going to New Orleans (da Bears) for the divers intervention the end
of this month. I got tickets from JW Fisher for this event. I plan on asking
a lot of questions when there. There will be other vendors present.

I will keep you all posted when I return (with photos).

Take care

Dinkydick

Hi Dinkydick
I know the Pulse 10 works, whether it works as reported I couldn't comment on unless I had tested it against the reports. Remember we are in fairly shallow water. I have been considering acquiring the 48 inch coil and sled option as obviously direct bottom contact would be even better. We are thinking of placing a grid on the bottom and having divers tow the sled over the grid pattern with underwater scooters.
When is the convention, I may want to see you there. I would like to take the opportunity to personally thank the JW Fishers guys for the equipment they make that is responsible for most of our finds.

Hi Bradloff
look forward to hearing from you in the spring about when you can come dive with us.

Here are some picture over the years of where we are diving. The older one is from 1924 and courtesy of Bigkid 4.

SEAHUNTER,Im just getting my divers cert now, could I join you this summer??Shoot me a PM.if you would.

Yes it was beautiful out there today. Did not start out that way and if I had any idea it was going to happen I would have been there. Probably will be that way tomorrow and I have to attend closings on some of my properties so I won't get a chance until at least Tuesday which is fine with me since it is supposed to go down into the thirties here tomorrow. As bad as I want to get wet 30 is a little cold for me, real cold.
