Tonight, Dungeness crab followed by Cheese Fondue. You can dip crab in it. veggies in it. Bread also. ummmmm. I got the recipe from the famous ship ashore restaurant when I worked as a chef there, years ago. With a veggie tray, salami and bread....that's enough! Cheese fondue, once a year. Pics to follow. Happy new year!!
Local supermarket had fresh lobster claws and arms on sale for $2.99 a pound!! Made some over stuffed lobster rolls to go with my Stella. Lobster, finely chopped red onion, a little Mayo, and a pinch if tarragon. YUUUMMMM!!
Don't know why the pic of the rolls came out sideways, it isn't sideways in my photo album.
Thanks Drew, gotta watch Shop Right, they often have sales on lobsters. Had 'em for $5.99/lb this summer but I couldn't eat them due to my injured thumb.
Man,looks pretty formal. Except for the roll of towels and the jelly jar glasses. I usually stand at the kitchen counter and eat because the dining room table is full of junk.
Last night there were 18 people at dinner! Surprise birthday party for my mother-in-law. All my out-laws were there! She has 5 kids. Tonight was leftovers, I made sure we made enough so the leftover option was available. It's nice to just walk 1/4 mile down the road for dinner.
My wife makes a special rice, green onions, garlic, chicken broth and enchilada sauce. Refried beans. Big enough batch for my Dad (just turned 86) and my mother in law. My dad eats plain, soup for dinner kinda meals. I told him..not on my watch! He has tried everything, that I have made, in this thread. Small bowl for a friend down on his luck.
Of course sour cream and guacamole offered as a topping. Tapatio for me.
