Whats on the menu tonight?

I am about to take up squirrel hunting off my back porch. Found one inside my screened in porch and a nice squirrel size hole in my screen........
They can do some damage. They get in my parents house attic and chew big holes in their air condition duct work. They have had to repair it several times. They shoot them and eat them but more show up.

Yeah, squirrels can be very destructive. We have a lot of here; but the only way I can take 'em is with a bow. Too many houses close to this one to try shooting. We have a pear, cherry, mini-apricot, and a plum tree in the backyard. The squirrels get fat on the fruits. There is an open season on squirrel here, don't know when, but I don't hunt. Back in Texas there was no closed season on squirrel; we just took 'em when we wanted. Now, I just enjoy watching them play in the trees out back. As for quail, there are thousands of them here in town. I guess they know where they're safe. Quite a few dove also.

I was detecting the wet sand at a beach last summer and a guy surf fishing pulled one in the same size. I took a picture for him and he asked if I wanted the fish. When I got home my wife was happier over the fish than if I had found a gold ring. We fileted and fried it...man was it good.

I totally agree..

You want fluke filets? This one was 14.4 lbs. Biggest I ever caught was 9.25...monster!

What a fluke ,nyuk nyuk! Tonight we're having clam spaghetti with lots of garlic and a nice little arugula salad.

Go man, GO! Dont quit. Dont give up. Weight loss is discipline. You seem to have it. I lost 75 pounds last year, dropped all of my meds and feel like a new man. I fit into a wetsuit again. Its nice, and not hard to do once you make a determination that its what you need to do for life for health and forever. Amen!

That said, we had homemade sourdough bread, heirloom 'maters from the garden, cukes, and roasted chicken. Good sammiches!

Fried center cut pork chops, mashed potatoes with white gravy and green beans.

Dont worry viking i'll put you on my quick weight loss program.Heres how it works,I have a 80 pound weight belt we'll strap it on you and then you start jogging.I'll be following you in my car with a MG 42 paintball gun, every time you slow down I'll just give you a quick 3 second burst in the butt. After doing the program for a couple of weeks I guarantee 1..you would of lost 25 pounds 2... you wont be sitting down for a while(but look at the bright side, that right there will also help you lose weight)

I'll pass on that:laughing7:
Today I went to the beach and dragged some driftwood around. The Soloflex gets boring. Now people used to call me bonkers, but I would throw a large piece of driftwood in the surf, and drag it back up on the beach!
You get too many "gawkers". :laughing7: That's a true story too.

I'll pass on that

You sure,it would be no problem at all:laughing7:well for me that is:laughing9:I use to have the biography of Simon Kenton,he did almost the same thing you did, except he went out in the woods and tossed logs around to build himself up.

I do a lot of hiking with two cinder blocks in my MDM-11 at a 10-16 mile clip. Its not for everybody, but works for me.

I use to go for walks wearing that 80 pound weight belt i have, did a little jogging but its got tough on the hips from the chaffing your skin.
