I....will enjoy A peppercorn Tri-Tip. They are supposed to be roasts, but the local grocery outlet has small ones....this one is 1.05 lbs.

A little squash casserole from the last of the garden,some good old fried chicken,and turnip greens is what's on the menu tonight.

Cant beat a good ole country meal...you just made me hungry.

Smothered in liquid smoke mesquite..., Hoisin garlic sauce....A few grill marks...but it is still rare!!
Corn on the cob too.

This post is drool worthy! I love ribs more than anything and sweet fresh Summer corn is so good.

You would have been slightly disappointed trading for tonight's. Mayo and cold cuts on dried bread. What was done to the meat during processing I don,t want to know,but did check the expiration date. That wasn't the cause of its funk though.
Too much racing around today. Going to have to scheme something up and try to redeem myself. L.o.l. Bust out the can of Spam or something.

My mother would try to convince us that a can of spam, covered with maple syrup and a pineapple ring was really a canned ham....I think not.....but fried in bacon grease and served with eggs, and it can be tasty.....Gary

Seen some corn meal mush recipes the other night and a bit of that Vermont syrup would be just right. Been a while on both scores.

Here I am! Just been behind. I'm just reading yesterday's 'favorites' of the forum. I go through and 'favorite' the posts that I want to read; then I go back and read 'em. That way I don't loose a bunch of the 'new posts' because I spent too much time reading and replying.

Anyway, just now reading yesterday's posts. I had to help with some of the yard work. The boys broke the pull rope in the lawn mower. I had to strip it down and replace it. That's the third rope in 5 years! I hope this one is better quality. Also helped with some of the weed-eating. I try to stay away from the mower. Just too much grass and dust for my breathing, even with a dust mask.

Well, for lunch yesterday, the son-in-law (with a little help from me), cooked a batch of chili and grilled some 'burgers. I think most of the family made 'burgers and poured chili over them. I made my 'burger and had a bowl of chili on the side. Love both of those foods!
