Whats on the menu tonight?

Bar-B-Q baby back ribs, mash potatoes and gravy and butter beans was tonights fare.... Wife is working so had to fend for myself .....
Sounds like you did a good job fending.

Nope, they were cooked here at home.....

Yesterday, we (me and the son-in-law) grilled/BBQd some drumsticks, thighs, and breasts. Daughter made a salad with everything she could find, plus some veggies that the grandson brought from the store. She had yellow squash, cukes, broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, shredded carrots, and several other veggies in it. All was great! They like ranch dressing, and some others; but I've been using coleslaw dressing on just about everything. (Do you recognize that I have a 'sweet tooth'?) Last night I had little whiskey/cola drink with some cheese/peanut butter crackers. I have to watch myself when those crackers are around. I only ate 4 last night; but have in the past ate 12 to 18 at one sitting. That's not good for me; but sure does taste good.

I eat the round peanut butter crackers with potted meat and vienna sausage...that's a combo that will stick to your ribs and fill you up.

I'm a ritz cracker and peanut butter guy, though what else is good is some deviled chicken spread with a tomato slice on them.

Center cut pork chops, beat with the edge of a saucer...our version of cubing. Everglade seasoning, floured and fried. Mac and cheese and creamed corn.

Same as me lookindown,I finished off my package of porkchops, with a baked potato, and brussel sprouts.I bought a big container of fresh strawberries for dessert

Eat to much...

Well, these last few posts are a lot to think about! Especially the 'eat too much'. If it wasn't for 'eating too much', I'd be having a lot of snacking food. I love the round peanut butter crackers with several things, like Underwood's Roast Beef spread, or soup, etc. I like Ritz crackers with all of that too. I keep a lot of 'stuff' in my desk drawers for snacking; but try to resist it. I've got chocolate chips, dark chocolate chips, Reece's flavored butterscotch chips, French burnt peanuts, round peanut butter crackers, square peanut butter crackers (cheese-flavored crackers, I think), some Queso flavored Great Value potato chips, dried banana chips, mini marshmallows, unsalted dry roast peanuts, honey-roasted peanuts, cashews, raw almonds, and some Crackjacks. Also I keep some of the butterscotch hard candy discs and the chocolate flavored mint 'starlight' mints; these are for my 'dry-mouth' caused by some of the meds I'm taking.

I don't eat a lot of these things. I guess the butterscotch discs and the chocolate mints are the most eaten. I only eat four, sometime maybe 7 of these a day. I just put them in my mouth to keep the saliva flowing. If I don't, my mouth gets so dry that my tongue will stick to the top denture and feels like it is peeling the hide off when I pull it away. Talk about can't whistle? lol I try to eat a decent, but light breakfast, then a big lunch. The rest of the day I may eat a 4 pack of the peanut butter crackers, or a handful of chips, etc; especially if I mix a drink. Since I've got away from eating so many of these snacks, I'll probably have to throw some of them away. I threw away some marshmallows that actually aged enough to get hard yesterday.

Teriyaki chicken salad. Foster farms chicken tenders. Marinate, in Teriyaki for about 24 hours. Grill. Cut up bite sized chunks. Add to salad, lettuce, tomato, radish. Add home made ranch. Enjoy. Cheap, but good...and good for you. feel free to add whatever veggies you prefer...and your own dressing.

Yesterday I went to the store and bought some hamburger/ground beef and some buns. Son-in-law and I grilled some hamburger patties. I can't seem to get enough hamburger. I guess if I had only one food item that I eat, it would be hamburgers. I don't care much for the fast food joints 'burgers. I'll take homemade whether grilled, pan fried, or over baked anytime over the fast food ones. My favorite 'sides' are fries and cream gravy.
