Also some wicked deviled eggs....Aw nutz, who am I kidding? I just LOVE to cook!

Peachy, Have you a recipe?

Re: What's For Dinner?

Having had a real crappy day, I decided to fire up the grill and cook some pork ribs. Included will be seasoned mixed greens, a baked tater with REAL butter and chives and sweet tea. Dessert will be a home-made blueberry milkshake and home-made M&M cookies. Fresh and warm from the oven.....Mmmm....

Aperitifs prove beneficial!

Perhaps I will see this day in a more positive light after such a dinner...

PS. I've enough for one more. Who will be my Guest?

Re: What's For Dinner?

Tonight it's Tacos, fresh cut deep fried french fries, mixed greens, 3 bean salad, sliced cukes, applesauce with sugar and cinnamon and sweet tea. And for dessert, I'll slice up a sweet, juicy peach and add it to a milk shake.
OH YEAH! (No wonder I'm gettin' fat in my old age....) :laughing7:

Best,
Scott

My goodness, you must spend the whole day cooking :help: That's why I like take-out & delivery, no prepping & no clean-up...just scarfing the food down while watching the boob tube :laughing7: I work all day. I don't want to have to work again when I get home. Unless of course you're doing the cooking & I'm invited :laughing9:

Friend, I love to cook! There have been times that I've cooked a mega meal and ate none. I've been a kitchen manager at a college sorority.
Cooking is an art, and I love to create!

You are always invited!

Re: What's For Dinner?

Seems I'm on a taco frenzy lately. And hot sauce. LOTS of hot sauce! :angry4: (I'm sure I'll pay for it later...)

Dessert will be a peach milkshake, since it turned out so good last time!

Best,
Scott

Re: What's For Dinner?

Tonight, I think I'll make a meatloaf, fresh, crisp salad with dressing, baked potato with REAL butter and sour cream, mac & cheese, Sliced cukes, spinach greens and sweet tea.
Too early to think about dessert, but most likely it will be cookies and milk.

Best,
Scott

PS. Bless the producers who supply the consumers like me!

BTW--There will be "left-overs," and, in calculating my cost per meal,
I figure that tonight's dinner will cost me about $4.20; Better than a Mickey D meal that has no potential for tommorow's dinner/snack.
What are your favorite cost/ratio meals? (Don't EVEN talk about Ramen. Remember, I'm a poor college student! :laughing7:)

Re: What's For Dinner?

MMMM! Sounds good! I'll bring my own bowl and spoon. I'll even help with the dishes!

Time to change the menu to reflect fall and the seasons changes....
Lot's of soups, stews, chili and casseroles, cold weather recipes.

Tonight, I'll have a couple of burritos, some home made french fries, some sliced cukes, spinach and sweet tea.
I scored a couple of peaches, so for dessert,
I'll once again have a peach milk shake! (I'll never get tired of milk shakes!)

Best Wishes,
Scott

Re: What's For Dinner?

Went with family to frontier City yesterday. Amusment park in Oklahoma City... so chips an other junk on the way down there. While there burger (gross) and some delicious fries.... but when I asked for a shake ... she said "OUT ! "

Re: What's For Dinner?

Wow. Caught short tonight for dinner. Gonna have to be something quick and easy.
Looking like deep fried onion rings, cheeseburgers, sliced cukes, some greens and sweet tea.
I hate getting caught short....I however have a plan....
For dessert, my plan is pop tarts, Ice cream and a cold glass of milk.
That's my plan and I'm sticking to it. N'yah n'yah!
Might not be the healthiest meal, but I like it. I have no one to please but me.

Best,
Scott

PS. Granny, when I come to visit you in your world, take me to the best eatin' places you know of. I probably won't come to visit unless I have to come up north for a family funeral. If I can afford the trip. Luv Ya, Granny!

PSS. Dinner and a movie..."No Way Out" with Kevin Costner and Gene Hackman.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093640/

Shhh. Movie is starting....
