Whats For Dinner?

Re: What's For Dinner?

Chili with lots of Tabasco and grilled cheese sandwich's.

Re: What's For Dinner?

Bambi Stew- Actually I started it yesterday. I take the venison and cook it in a pressure cooker for 25 min. at 30#si. I then cut it up into small pieces and place it in the crock pot with a bag of mixed veges. I then add 2 jars of beef gravy mix, with mushrooms. I set the crock on the auto setting and cook it overnight. The meat just falls apart. Oh the venison is soaked in salt water overnight prior to cooking it.

Goodness, y'all!
I'm gettin' good ideas for dinner. Cooking for one is mostly boring.
For example:
Tonight I'm having pig in a blanket and home fries.
Oh, it's good an all...but it's alone.

Best Wishes,
Scott

Upon philosophical reflection( :tongue3:), I only have to please myself in my usage of seasonings, spices, entree choices, etc.

OK. Now I feel better. :headbang:

Best Wishes All,
Scott

Being a "lone eater," I would say to eat what ever you want now and save the other for a snack or build upon it for the next meal, say, lunch tomorrow?
Ain't microwaves the best?

Best to you Granny,
Scott

Re: What's For Dinner?

I had a couple of burgers made out of some fresh beef my sister gave me. My sis gave me about 20 pounds of beef that she buys from a local farm in new hampshire. No chemicals, grass and corn fed. Some of the best beef i ever had.

Re: What's For Dinner?

Tonight I made Cabbage rolls drizzled with a sweet wine roux, green beans with bacon, radish rose and carrot slices and a glass of milk.
Guess lunch tomorrow will be left-overs. Thank goodness for micro waves! :hello2:

Best Wishes,
Scott

Re: What's For Dinner?

Red James Cash,
You betcha, That's the way way I raise my beef. Only natural with grass, a little corn and oats. The best beef that you could ever want. And I will add Hereford beef is way better than Angus. Just my own opinon and a few neighbors. Angus is where the money is, but I go for quality. " It's what's for dinner".
Just an ol cowboy's opinion.

Galumpkis is the traditional polish recipe, but I tweak the recipe to my taste. Somewhat closer to a German taste. Mmmmm good! (Even as left-overs)

Best,
Scott
