Welcome to the site! Please post an introduction thread.

Hey there everyone! I'm pretty new to metal detecting, been doing it for about 6 months or so. I have a Garrett 350 and Propointer. I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma and usually go around here but there are a couple of places in Claremore and by Grand Lake that I like to go detecting.
Of course I've been watching the YouTube videos for a while and really enjoy getting out to find some cool stuff.

Well good luck everyone and I'm looking forward to being part of the forum.

Hi from Carrabelle Florida. I have been collecting all my life and have not figured out what some of the things are so this is great. Hoping to get a metal detector soon since I now live near the beach and river. Also, Carrabelle was a logging community in the 1800's so hope to get something on these old trials. Thanks

Hello all, I live in NC. I am new to the site and new to detecting. I have always had a love for history, treasure, and things of that nature. Since I am just starting out I feel I do not know the things that I need to know yet, such as a good brand and good price for a metal detector or even how to get started in the detecting hobby. Any help would be much appreciated. Can't wait to get started!

Hello everyone!

Just got in.

Thanks for having me here. I am impressed by the warmth of everybody here. Thanks again.

I'm no expert (at least not yet) but I believe if we dig long enough, we will surely find something worth keeping - given we did our homework.

Hi Everyone, I'm curious about what equipment would be best for a one time hunt. I want to search a piece of land I currently have access to. My research suggests that there may be something buried there and all I'd like to do is check that out and be as certain as I can that nothing is there. Of course, I do think something is there so I want to find it. This is the only project I have, I'm not going to search anywhere else. So I need something good, probably just rent it, that will do the job. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated. Thanks

Maybe someone on here would let you borrow their metal detector. Are you anywhere close to Tulsa, OK? If so then you can take mine out for a bit and see what you find.

Hello Mates,

New to the site. Been operating ROV's all my working career. Have been mainly involved in deep water recoveries for the oil industry and no shave a few submersibles at my disposal in Miami. Hoping to find some friends who want to partner up and see what we can find. I know ROV's and recovery like the back of my hand, I know nothing of finding Treasures! Yet !!!

Hello, I'm a newbee to MD. Can anyone tell me how to set up a White master hunter 7ads?

I still have my ADS 7 and it has served me well in the past but the ADS 7 was made by Garrett. The main advantage is the pinpoint mode as it narrows target down to a dime size.

Setting up is easy. First go in all metal and ground balance by raising and lowering the coil while adjusting the knob either one way or the other till the threshold tone is steady. Not raising nor going silent.

Go into disc and set disc to your liking. Now start hunting. Note: Most gold rings will be disc out it you disc out pull tabs.
