Hawaii

Getting ready for a trip to Hawaii with my friend Tom, and thought I might find some fellow detectorists to do some hunting with. I am looking to hunt land, not water as I hunt with an e-trac. I will be in Oahu from the 12th to the 17th of June. First goal is one US Silver coin to add to my silver from each state collection, then try to find turn of the century coins and relics. We will be doing a lot of door knocking trying to get permission, so if you have wanted to get on some private property but you are to shy to ask we would be happy to ask for you and share in the hunt. After the 18th I will be in Maui until the 25th with my Girl friend for her parents 50th anniversary. 46, detecting for 17 years. Coin hunter mostly. Chris

Hello from Charlottesville, Virginia I am new to metal detecting trying to figure out where I can search close to home without breaking any laws was hoping to search for gold, coins, relics etc. but seems Virginia has a lot of laws against using metal detectors, some things I have read say you can search on public access lands any pointers will be most welcome have enjoyed reading the post.

Hi all, I am from Scotland UK, only been detecting for a few years but have been studying treasure myths and legends for a good few years now and going by what I see on this site I will only learn more from you guys and what you have here. I look forward to finding stuff and posting on here and helping others if I can.

Howdy, My name is Mark. I live in College Station Texas, former military and just started going to school at Texas A&M. Growing up my father took me arrowhead hunting but only a couple times. It was not till later while I was in the Marines that I would come to realize just how much and why he liked it so much. when I got out of the service I started going to school and now find myself with time to start my collection. I like to "Hunt" for anything but specifically arrowheads.
If any of Y'all are down Texas way give me a shot and lets get together and talk.... Happy Hunting

Greetings everyone! Been detecting since the late 1970's. Found some nice stuff in Jonesborough, TN years ago and some here in Washington state too. Found a silver buckle years ago, tossed it in a pile of odd-ball stuff and forgot I had left it in Tennessee. Short of the long, that's how I found y'all.. looking for info about that buckle. Glad to be here, know I'll learn a bit and share my finds.

Hi, new to metal detecting and will be doing most of my searching in Natchez, Miss. I need to read up on the laws governing the hobby. Don't want to get into trouble. Does anyone have any suggestions for the Natchez area?

Hi my name is Erica and I live in Central New Jersey, Burlington county. I have been borrowing a friend's metal detector (always been my dream to own one of my own) and have just started finding treasures in the ground. I've always been big on digging and finding old bottles since I was a kid, while also collecting vintage antiques from flea markets and garage sales. My parents live in a 300+ year old house and I am excited to make more discoveries with the metal detector. I am going to make a post from what I have found already. Thanks for reading.
