Just to add to ivans description, jerky was a common food used by the American Indians and was a means of preserving meat. Buffalo, elk, deer, antelope, bear and other meat animals were commonly used. Horse and mule can be added to the menu. Imagine taking a hunk of belt leather and adding catsup and other spices (sometimes wine and other fine distilants) then drying it in the sun or over a low fire until its completely dry...then eat it along with swallows of water, soda or beer...Hmmmmmmmmmmmm

Road kill (meat tenderized by vehicle...MTV) has been suspected to have been used

If one of the judges finds as much as an embedded hair....well then it could be a problem...

Thanks for the "info" on jerky......Guess you need a good set of "nashers" to chew it. Still not sure if I could eat it tho. But if there isn't anything else you would well......just eat it.

its addicting unicorn,first ya start with one piece,then ya think, man a cold beer would be GREAT with this,then another piece and another beer,then your jaw starts to ache and then another beer and more jerky,its a vicous cycle ............didn't know youwere into jerky that much treasure,i'da sent ya some

Recieved an envelope yesterday eve with 3 vac-pac samples...looks like all from same person...

Think I will stick with the Roast beef and Yorkshire Pudding, now if you want the recipe for the Yorkshire pudd I will post it.....thats if you haven't already got it. Do you eat Yorkshire pudding with beef over their? You can also eat it as a dessert sprinkled with sugar, either way its good.

Update: mailman came back with a package from "WV" with 3 foodsaver sealed packages of some GREAT looking jerky!!
