Franklin Pierce did more in his term as president of the United States for the Knights of the Golden Circle than any other member that belonged to the organization. Was he making those decisions on his own? I think not. I think he was placed by the K.G.C. in his position so he could place K.G.C. members into other positions, in order to over through the United States Government. Think about it, If you were a top secret organization would you want to disguise your leader as "The Leader" of the public you were hiding from?? Almost every position that Pierce appointed was filled by defenders of"Southern Rights" especially slave owners rights in religious form. Was it just a tainted Democratic platform? I do not think so, just look at what the people he appointed did for(to) the United States during their terms. How many of them would soon be holding political offices in the C.S.A. ? Some of the Judges and other U.S. politicians Pierce selected remained in their positions before during and after the Civil War especially in Texas. Some made serious judgments that effected Bloodhound laws and the enforcement of them. This was a direct blow to the abolitionist. Many years after the Civil War some of them were still at their helm guiding the rudder towards K.G.C. ideals. Just look at the U.S. Judges he appointed and what they became and did. Look at the Oberlin–Wellington Rescue to see it for yourself. A coincidence happens once in a while, not every day in every way.

KGC "ideals"...?

The Domino Effect

K.G.C. members have been identified. Therefore, the actions they took before during and after the war have been scrutinized for any obvious attempts on their part to complete other K.G.C. objectives. Discovering those secret operations led to more K.G.C. members being uncovered and identified as such. Beyond a doubt. In this fashion we caused a domino effect that started from the first discovery of a buried K.G.C. relic and the effect did not stop until it reached the last domino standing.
Along the path of dominoes we started to see other paths that went in many directions and had many branches. This all led us backwards up the K.G.C. trail to what they fed on. "WEALTH" and "Control". It appeared as a money trail to corruption and greed. It was an easy trail to follow, once we figured out who was who in the organisation. The Knights built up control one layer at a time, placing one Knight at a time into what they wanted to take over, like a giant pyramid. The structure they achieved stood unscathed for 150+ years. The Knights of the Golden Circle, were a secret society that became so secretive that it blended into the fabric of America like a chameleon. Once hidden in the fibers of the U.S. Government it morphed into a group of businessmen who gained the helm of "Reconstruction"(Civil War II).

William Rufus DeVane King (April 7, 1786 – April 18, 1853) was an American politician and diplomat. He was the 13th Vice President of the United States for about six weeks in 1853 before his death. Earlier he had been elected as a U.S. Representative from North Carolina and a Senator from Alabama. He was Franklin Pierce's running mate, and they won by a land slide in 1852. King would be succeeded in the vice presidency after his death by none other than John C. Breckinridge, the future vice president of the C.S.A. and shining light of the Knights of the Golden Circle. That means that Franklin Pierce had Jefferson Davis the future president of the C.S.A., as his Secretary of War and John C. Breckinridge, the future vice president of the C.S.A positioned in his cabinet. Now what do you think? Was Franklin Pierce K.G.C. ? L.C. Baker
L. C. It is understandable why KGC members would want to infiltrate the executive branch, and it looks like these two individuals were successful, but that does not mean President Pierce was a KGC member. You have not presented enough facts to convince me of your conclusion. Likewise I can think of good reasons to purchase the territory that makes up Arizona and part of New Mexico, and those reasons have nothing to do with objectives/ideals established by the KGC. I am glad it was purchased regardless of the reasons. Besides the purported objectives of the KGC were never further pursued by uprising or acts of war after the Civil War ended anyway.

I understand, but there is nothing that i can tell you at this time to support the claim. it is a complicated situation, and would require further understanding of evidence that has not yet seen the light of day for you to make sense of it. I promise, you will be convinced beyond doubt of Pierce's membership in the near future.
thanks for your input L.C. Baker

"the purported objectives of the KGC were never further pursued by uprising or acts of war after the Civil War ended anyway"

If you would care to read my thread on the K.G.C.'s second generation, you might gain some further understanding of how the K.G.C. up rose without any act of war as you suggested. You are correct, there was no acts of violence to any large degree. Civil War II happened without incident. Being mostly covert government operations and the formation of big business monopolies, it was hardly noticeable to the general public. like a virus. It's not until you see the symptoms of the disease that you know you have the bug. That is exactly how the United States reacted to it. Notice I say reacted, because the government didn't do anything until they started seeing some of those symptoms I mentioned. It was too late by then. Large bank accounts had been created. Powerful positions already filled, all they could do was try and treat the symptoms, which is exactly what they did by creating acts of congress to battle the disease. K.G.C. wealth built more of this country than the American public realizes. It was quietly done on paper by lawyers and judges and businessmen.
thanks for your interest in the subject,

You obviously have researched this much more than I. I only recently became interested. The connection to free masons is most interesting. Thanks for sharing your information.

I had never heard of the KGC. I am enjoying the education I'm getting by your posts and discourse. Thank you!

Pierce's presidency began tragically. On the way to his inauguration, the train that the Pierce family was travelling in derailed and the Pierce's only surviving child, their 11 year old son Benny, died tragically in the crash, right before his parents' eyes. Jane Pierce took it as a sign from God of displeasure over her husband's appetite for the presidency and she returned home to New Hampshire.

Accident??? :dontknow:

Did you know that the first president of the United States to refuse to use the Bible at his inauguration was Franklin Pierce? When Pierce had been elected, he and Mrs. Pierce and their son, two weeks before the inauguration, were taking a trip to Concord, New Hampshire, and, of course, they were doing it by train. The train had not gone far out of the Concord Station, when there was a lurch, a jolt, and the car the Pierces were in tumbled off the tracks and down an embankment. Neither the president nor his wife was injured in the accident, but their son was killed. Franklin Pierce brooded over this, as would most of us. He asked the question of God that so many of us would have asked. Why would God at this moment of triumph permit this tragedy in their lives? He was so upset by it that he refused to allow the Bible to be used at the inauguration. Why was there only a problem with the president elect's train car? :icon_scratch: could it have been an attempt by the "RADICAL BLACK REPUBLICAN" hit squad trying to get rid of the new pro-slavery president before he was sworn in? Think about it. L.C. Baker:icon_thumleft:

A lot of unanswered questions about this train wreck, and a lot of misinformation given by the press. It may have seemed like a tranquil time to the United States Public, but there was underlying issues in the government between the K.G.C. and the BLACK REPUBLICANS that was fuming with hate and struggle for control.

From the picture, this was more than a car coming off the tracks and going down an embankment. It looks like a locomotive laying at the bottom of a railroad trestle and there is a lot of debris laying around. I would sure like to see more pictures and read the detailed investigation report that should have resulted from a thorough investigation of this tragedy. My gut feeling is that the news reports and the picture do not tell the same story.

That was a picture of a train wreck i used for reference, there are no pictures that I can find of the actual wreck that killed the Pierce boy. If you click on the link that i showed, there is a lot of discussion by railroad men about the discrepancies in the reports. Good Eye! L.C. Baker:icon_thumleft:

Thanks for the additional information. I looked at the link but did not read everything yet. I will do that though.

Be MINDFUL of the TYPE of Locomotive; I saw General Lee (Locomotive - CONFEDERATE WAR era) at my hometown, in Shenandoah, Va.; "RAILROAD town" @ 1958 or so. It was a coal-burning engine; with BLACK smoke puffing, coming around the bend.) "Google" GENERAL LEE, LOCOMOTIVE.

A cut axle wouldn't make it far from the station........probably made it to the scene of the accident. The first turn.

The one in the picture looked pretty old to me but don't know if it was coal burner. Had big stack so assumed it was.

All I know is coal-burning "open-stacks" pre & post CONFEDERATE WAR locomotives. I think the "WEST" was conquered
by coal-burning "Open-Stacks"; been watching TOO MANY "Cowboys & Indians" movies, I reckon...

Radical Black Republican Assassination Attempt Gone Wrong Kills Pierce Boy

wood and coal burners. wood first and then coal after the design of better boilers or at least that is how i think it went.

But for the million dollar question here......was it an accident or an attempted assassination of Franklin Pierce, before he could be inaugurated as president of the United States?

The slavery issue was at a terrorist level red at that time. Pierce, being a top K.G.C. member and the newly elected president, did not set well with the extremist group of Radical Republican Abolitionist.
They would have more people to kill later on by poisoning and assassination. With that formal knowledge, it sure makes this train wreck look mighty suspicious to me.
L.C. Baker:dontknow:

Think about it: the train made it all the way there, stopped unloaded refueled with water and coal there was knowledge of which car the Pierce family would be in. The train pulls out and makes it to the next sharp bend in the track.:icon_scratch:
