Howdy Mikel,

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. I believe it would be hard for some readers to follow the story without pictures. It would also give the readers a chance to find something that may have been overlooked. Imagine their moment. I myself have found clues in pictures posted by others, I will pm you on one such clue. There is one more photo that I cannot lift from the page of the book. It is the most important one for this post....

It is a pointer stone that is 3/4 of a mile north by northwest, and it points back to the KEYSTONE (first photo).

in its direct line 1/2 mile from the pointer stone, it's line crosses the owl (second photo) which is ninety degrees out of square.

I hope it sits up right when i hit enter....

The two photos are 1/4 mile apart.
About 12 years ago i logged the tree that was shaped like the letter N and pointed out the same azimuth as the pointer stone, that I cannot copy
from the book page , to this post.

When adding the line from the pointer to the Keystone, i didn't know that the owl was there, but the bluff area that I marked with a waypoint to my TOPO map,
is only a few feet from the owls.

I only realized that the spot was mapped, a few days ago, while trying to mark the owls to the same TOPO map.....

How marvelous is the the workmanship, not of my program, but the people that made that straight line over hills and valleys thru the forest.!!

It is not a crude map, but then again, that part of the map would only be one straight line, for 3/4 mile.

There is an attachment that is of the big owl, as seen from above it.


The map was up for a limited time, but the rest of this is still relevant....

Is there a black cat in the shadow, just below the M with the hook? Or do I need new glasses??

That small M is the head part of a large shadow bat with wings made up on the bottom 1/3 of the big boulder.
Pretty sure the whole outcrop/boulder is actually a huge bat's head with an open mouth as well facing left, the nose is cut off on the left side of the picture, as well as the tip of it's ear on the right side. They have tiny eyes just as that one does.

What's this? It looks like the man from mars (not joking), then there is a half circle type shape beneath it. My pic is too grainy, but look at your original. I cannot see anything furry in the area you suggested.

I remember walking around that rock and almost slipped under it a couple of times. That moss was slick, but I didn’t remember seeing anything that looked like “whatever “ that is....

There are several other places, under those big rocks that I wanted to call hoyo, but when you can see nine different directions, it challenged even my imagination!!

Maybe I should turn my screen [emoji342] backlight down, so I don’t look like I’ve lost my mind...

I’ve been working on the book cover for several hours. I think I’m numb, top and bottom!!!

I thought the back or right side of the stone looked like a Egyptian type head with a hawk on top,with the wings down over the ears. Some old stuff. Those maybe some real old symbols on there.
