I hope that it sets back to upright position. If not, tilt your head counterclockwise...
Ok, if you are looking for the mines, most of them, they were following a mineral vein/ contact point that was found on the bottom side of the outcroppings. Some pinched out and you will just see the shelf/over hang part that's left over. Sometimes a small trench was left up to the backfilled part, it will look like the start of a small ravine, but it's generally pretty straight and will have some sort of markers near it, sometimes a large Y shaped tree..
Many of the mines will not have a well worn trail to them any more. They wiped those clean. However there are usually well worn trails down below them along the creek bottoms up to a few hundred feet away. So along these trails below, you will find markers that point to the mines, like a big propped boulder that is wedge shaped on top , or just any large pointing type boulder or alignment off those trails, or a leaning boulder against another that is has a wedge shaped pointing hoyo. You will see these while walking the well worn trails anywheres from 5 to 30 feet off the trail. The other way will be large out of place or strange looking pointer boulders that are in or along the creek that is next to the well worn trail, and you leave the trail there and follow any out of place marker from these. Look for hoyos along the trail, either side and alignments coming off them. They put many of the ore/bullion caches right by the well worn trails down below for quik/ease of recovery or whatever, but many of the mines they covered the trail to them. You find them from the trails.
Cudos to Weekender! Very good instinct! Started photographing areas with lots of panoramas. It amazes me how many times I go home review my photos and say "How the heck did I miss that?" Shooting a panorama and saving it with the cords you shot it from reveals a lot and saves making multiple trips back out. Another hint I hope others use. Take your topo to a print shop and have them enlarge it 8 times it's original size. Get rolls of plastic from the art supply store. Use several layers if needed. Make your marks on the plastic. Being a larger map things don't get to the point of being a jumble of lines & dots & scribbles. Markers on one sheet of plastic, paths or where markers are pointing on another, misc waypoints on another. They overlay & the best part is if you want to show the map show it without the plastic layers so info isn't there or with one plastic sheet with the info you want to show. The stuff I use is Grafix Clear-Lay Plastic Film .003 thick. I buy the 40" x 12' rolls. When getting your topos enlarged black & white should cost you around $20 +/- color costs around $50 up. Hope this helps some of you out.Weekender took this photo on instinct alone. I asked him about it and he said that something caught his eye and he took the shot!!!

Who is going to figure this one out.... Weekender and I didn't catch it right off either. Something isn't natural...
It redefined everything in the photo when I saw it!!

Same here. Tried a pgm that was supposed to print a large picture on several sheets of paper. I won't mention how much of a pain it was just to get a bundle of scotch taped garbage. That's why you need to use a print shop. I lucked out finding this shop. They do excellent work & can do an enlargement while you wait! They even give me a cup of coffee while I wait!!! I tried a Staples once they told me it'd be two days and their people didn't seem all that qualified. A 20 dollar bill is cheaper than all the time effort & energy expended doing it yourself! If my TOPO program was a little bit less contrary, I would try that with my printer....
I have doubled the size of my map, once upon a time, but I have doubts about getting 8Xs...
Nonetheless, it's a great idea!

Maybe the left rock is a right profile of a face and neck? Maybe the two pointy rocks on the top right signify the owl?
Good work, MIB. I believe ( mostly because I was able to walk around it and put my feet on the ground and touch the stones) that it is two men speaking.
There are more than two stones on top of the head on the right. It is a circle of stones that look, to me, to be a crown!
I missed the crown when we were there, but thanks to Weekender seeing those stones and photographing them and loading his photos on to my laptop for the book!!
A very big deal, for me!...
I could see stones ( six or seven that I could see), that are part of a crown!!
This shot was made after we passed through the hallway and that area is rich with symbolism... faces, a waterfall, the hallway is full of symbolism that I have only seen through his camera! The true beauty of the concealment with and within that area is very hard to notice when standing there.
I wish that we could have seen these marvels while we were there!!!
This part of the book has been quite a challenge, and may be edited several times. I have rewritten it and edited it several times already and I still feel that I haven't done it justice...

Where the teeth are on the crown up top, try a different view point where you can see it better and look for the back(spine) or tail of a dragon or dino image. (the teeth of the crown will be the spikes along the back or tail much like a stegosaurus)
