Since aiding and abetting is a crime, what should we do to a leader who is allowing large numbers of his employees to be tax cheats and tax evaders (which would land you and I in prison) while they continue to serve in the government of the United States making tax policy for the rest of us to be bound by?

Political tax cheats - yeh that only has happened under the Obama administration?!?! That's been going on with politician since day one. You cheat or don't pay your taxes you should go to jail no matter who you are. That's the law.

I actually just heard a stat on how much in taxes the IRS estimated are not paid each year. Made my stomach turn. Lots of non politicians also cheating on their taxes and getting away with it. And I'm not talking about loopholes or the such - I'm talking pure illegal tax evasion. And tax evasion is not done by just one part either. As someone who pays a ton in taxes each year this really gets my goat.

Of course you have that fringe element who believed the Feds don't have the right to levy an income tax and decide not to pay. I don't have a lot of sympathy for those people either. Plenty of fringe websites with al sorts of "proof" on why people don't need to pay taxes.

There was a bill introduced to get rid of fed employees who will not pay taxes. It was shot down, maybe because it would cause them too much financial hardships?

Just like gun laws - just enforce the tax laws on the books. No excuses. Not paying your taxes is stealing directly from every tax paying citizen.
