Insurance companies have already said premiums will rise next year, when Obamacare goes into full effect,.....from 20% to 100 %. Of course, to Obama, that's not much of an increase. He might even figure out a way to call it a decrease.

Hi Sure your right , Demand and risk factors increase the cost of insurance .Why would some complain about increases ? Gun related injuries make about a reasonable % of the injuries treated in your health system. You would rather see your health system spend huge amounts of money on these types injuries which could be reduced . Free up money better spent on research like finding cures for health conditions like cancer . The gun factor is the issue and as long you do-nothing the more your going to pay for health insurance . Common sense reduces risk and demand for better use of a health system not GUNS. There's only one pie when it comes to money but a few seem to think the same pie can be can eaten twice. No change only more increases. May be some sort of middle ground. A word a few don,t understand REDUCTION or Limitations is all gun control is and nothing more. Funny how post with gun lobby propaganda is always one-sided and fails to address the whole issue and never mentions the 1000's of gun related accidents that happen. Least of all does Nazi Germany have anything to do with the problem. Were do the gun lobby get this rubbish from ? "Everyone else is to blame and everyone is out to get us " Thats just a ******ed way of thinking by a few.

Having a health system that only gives help to those that can afford it is no better than the English Class System which you fought a Revolutionary War to get equal rights for all men. Basic health is a necessity for all humans and guns are not. . Guns don,t fix economic ,social, and health problems . So i have gun ownership under gun control laws, affordable health insurance , economic stablitily and my child is safe at school. Well what can i say >

What a load of rubbish The UK and other Commonwealth Allies have a Constitutional Monarchy . Most of these countries can vote the queen out if they wish too without fear or violence The queen has no real political power and we choose to keep the system because its has worked for a long time. Most British colonies had the right to elect who ever they wanted to goven with little interference from the British Crown. This was in 1852 and not single red coat troop stood on my country's soil since 1860-70. All was done by debate and a pen. You don,t have too have guns and civil unrest and civil wars to get what you want . We can change our constitution when ever we want by voting ,now that's freedom .
I,m not a subject of the British Crown and neither am i bound by Constitution that has problems in getting changed. I don,t live in fear thats the difference.

My company health insurance went up $60 a payday total of $120 a month due to obamacare... It is united health care and were told by them it is due to obama health care.

A friend has Blue Cross and his also went up about same amount.

If you increase regulations and force companies to offer more to people, then prices will go up. This means many people will suddenly have to cut their coverage, it means that jobs will be lost, it means some will leave the middle class and head to poverty, and it means people will suffer.

Liberals refuse to even discuss this. They ignore the economic impact of policies. To them, it’s a simple question. Do you want to help the poor? Then pass a law forcing the economy to do it! If economics were only this simple, we could all be billionaires. But unfortunately, it’s not.

In the end, this is only going to get worse. The deficit will get worse. The labor market will get worse. Income inequality will get worse for all the wrong reasons. The economy won’t recover and insurance won’t be cheaper until we’re able to accept the fact that the government is the one destroying the economy.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion and I respect that. Of course as you know healthcare costs have been skyrocketing for decades and decades and have been a national crisis for almost just as long. They now make up a significant line item to local, state and federal budgets - often the largest line item. I would say that burying one head in the sand and continuing with the status quo is no option either. Time will tell how the program works out. Don't forget that there is never a free lunch. If an uninsured person walks in to the emergency room they are treated and that cost is being passed on to other patents or is paid for by government. I think everyone can agree that it is an extremely complicated issue with no simple answers but its a problem that could not continue as is. Best.

Now with a few word changes this could be our school system.
Today our Gov. told the school lunch program they will not be reimbursed unless there is nutritional food put on every plate served. The kids call it fruit basketball.(meaning who can hit the garbage can with the apple) Also it is against there policy for you to give your friends what you don't want.
Would be nice to see one of our Gov. program work.

And you have a problem with nutritional food?

When we had hot lunch, it was prepared by rural cooks (farm moms), and it was fresh bread, potatoes, meat, fruit, and milk.

No Coke, hot dogs, pizza or the like.

We did have the Freedom not to eat it, but just barely. We all ate it, by the way.
