Belittle all you want mate, the grass is not as green as you are trying to make it out to be on your Island. It doesn't hurt me in the slightest to be prepared for what might befall us all, but why snub my nose to such possibilities only because I just don't want to believe such things can happen. As far as body count from shootings in the UK Vs. the U.S. maybe it would have more significance if

1. It were comparing two countries with the similar variables. You can say gun control works but people will find other ways (as they do) to commit homicide and violent crimes. So could I also compare shark attack killings in Hawaii Vs. shark attack killings in Mongolia. By this criteria there should be NO shark attack killings in Mongolia if they don't have any sharks.

2. Your condescending posts are a real turn-off even though you have claimed that your not here to "annoy" anyone. Be well.

I've never said gun control will work. Feel free to "turn off" whenever you like. Best.

I dont know what you are talking about. What world history do I need to learn? Do I need to learn more about why the people that left Europe for the New World left. Were they fleeing religious persecution, famine, serfdom, a better life? What does being a nation of immigrants have to do with not wanting to be preached down to by people living in a socialist country, especially the two socialists that are mostly represented on this forum. You people enjoy your high taxes and your cradle to grave welfare and get your history from what ever historically revisionist or socialist author trips your trigger. We are here living it, we know what going on, and we're doing everything we can trying to stop our government from becoming like yours. There was a reason our ancestors left your country, but you guys never think of that. If it was such a utopia nobody would have ever left.

I find it a bit disturbing when our politicans and progressive thinkers want to always compare us to other countries. The last I knew we were a souverign country, with a constitution granting us a wide array of freedoms and liberties. Seems that every time our govt. wants more entitlements and free give aways, they compare us to the socialist countries of France, Sweden and such. Well how are those countries doing in the world economy? We don.t need the constant comparisons of guns, health care, gross national profit, etc., We need to take care of our own problems, and this really means being much more careful in who gets elected to represent us. As long as the population dynamics of our nation keep changing to urban, and we don't do something about welfare and fraud, we won't get anywhere. These days there are more voters who don't own guns, and don't see a need for our ownership, who also feel that the govt. needs to take care of them from cradle to grave, all on the back of us working stiffs. I'm sorry for the long, rambling rant, now it's time to go back to work, taxes a due!

Please take time to actually learn your Canadian history before you criticize others and then use the attached picture. I have friends who were the victims of your residential schools in Canada. Young Canadian children were abused, raped and some even murdered for the awful crime of being Native Americans . . . First Nations. I find the use of that picture in your comment offensive.

So you are implying Dano is a Nazi and RJC is backing you up with the his typical rofl. This is more offensive then anything posted on this thread. Dano got cautioned for implying somebody was lying. What is the punishment for implying somebody is a Nazi?

Crispin, the statement was meant tongue in cheek.

The article talks about how the Swedes supported the Nazi's, but the Nazi's lost.

Dano gets really upset when anyone points out how the U.S. helped contribute to their defeat, thus I inserted the idea that he might have preferred the Nazi's win and he would be speaking German and that that fact was the reason for his vitriol against these United States.

As for RJC, I understand why it made him laugh. If someone else had made a similar statement I would have laughed as well.

You truly have no grasp of the situation.

Some Native Americans live as though they would prefer to be subjects, but not all of us. You will find that many of us are quite conservative, and in no way subjects. Assimilated? Yes, by choice.

E pluribus unum is on the currency for a reason. Out of many peoples, we have one nation. Red, White, Black and yellow peoples have become one nation.

Crispin, he is not calling or implying Dano is a Nazi, Dano is English as he has pointed out many times and infact Sweden did help Germany durring WWII even though there were suppose to be neutral, they allowed Germany to use their vast railroads networks to move large amount of troops towards the battles in Norway in 1940 and they supplied iron ore to Germany's manufactory plants....... There is still some hard feelings about it in Norway....
