Looking like there will be a melt off of the snow. Really starting to see the decreased amounts now. Still a good 6-12" cover on the ground everywhere. Spring is coming that for sure.
Heard my first Robin singing this morning, sounded more like it was complaining about the snow.

Good morning all. Rain and thunderstorms here yesterday. One dead tree blew over by the pond. That’s actually good, I was wondering how to cut it so it wouldn’t fall in the pond or on the nearby dogwoods that we planted. Nature took care it and laid it right down between them.

Was the storm as bad as they advertised it?

Not here. We only lost that one tree that was already dead and waiting to fall anyway. Otherwise everything was fine. The highest wind gust we recorded here was only 30 mph. Other places got worse (the dust storms in the Texas panhandle were awful). We had some friends who drove through there and said it was pretty hard to keep the truck on the road.
