I sold a pumping system to our friends farm-she is so grateful in receiving it as it saved the market gardens.
Then agin one can water/water/ but it doesn't replace a nice long rain.
The worms have gone to depths-chickens are wondering why no treats.
Bart,
Good morning and good luck on your South American quest.
WD,
Here you go....
Morning Rusty
Question. How long have you been buying and selling the WW2 stuff?
Friend showed us his fathers pistol that had the insignia on the upper grip, not sure if it was a 9mm, as it was many years ago. (pistol not reg.) So he was kind of afraid of even owning it.I've only started early this year, but I've been handling WWII stuff for years before. My grandfather had all kinds of neat things. Japanese sniper rifles, German helmets, guns, swords, daggers, etc. I used to play with the German swords, not knowing what they were. I still have a few, though not from the WWII era.
I've handled WWII stuff for the past several years, but never committed to buying anything. This year my brain finally clicked, and I realized that Civil War relic prices skyrocketed after the 100 year anniversary of the war. the WWII 100 year anniversary is coming up in 20 years or so, and my assumption is that WWII prices will skyrocket as well. Already I am seeing proof of that, by the fact that WWI stuff is getting really expensive now. So my plan is to buy stuff I like (Heer/Luftwaffe helmets, guns, gun parts, patches and insignia, etc.) and buy stuff that I don't really like (nazi party items, SS items), and sell the stuff I don't like when the anniversary hits. SS items will double or triple in price when 2039-2045 rolls around.
Before he died, the majority of my grandfathers WWII stuff "disappeared". No one knows if he sold it or what, but just recently my grandmother remembered that he had a false wall in the basement where he used to hide stuff. At any rate, I still have one of his guns - a Walther P38 with war-time marking. My uncle stole the SS holster that went with it.
Good morning rook.
