20200530_063452.jpging Eh bart, congratulations on your banner!!!!

Doing a bit of cleanup in the safety deposit box....well we actually have 2 so the missus took out the contents and we're sorting through it and will add some other stuff mostly jewelry found detecting and some proof silver coins.

These 2 caught my eye. An 1881-CC morgan ms63 and the Julian 11 siliqua. The PCGS site gives the morgan a current price of $525 and in that condition the Roman coin is going for about $450 on Ebay.

If things get stupid it should pay for a bit of hamburger.....:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:

Very nice bill

That is a really neat coin,, Bill. I've never heard of a Siliqua before.

Good evening Msbeepbeep

Whew! Finally caught up to the ship.
Say, what was that really fancy rather large horse collar that floated by me?? We have live stock on board now?

Good evening pirates & piratesses.
A belated Happy Father's Day weather they be like kind or furry kind.

Congrats Toe awesome coin.

Bart the coin looks awesome great cleaning job. Did they post your moon shot pics, next to the others mug shots?

Welcome aboard coinboy, hope your travel trip is good.

Congrats WD on your hefty fish and treasure prize.

ECS, is that a new rum ale wafting in the breeze? Ahhhhh!

WHADIFIND, I swam up on the other side this time, so'z ya wouldn't pull up anchor & sail off on me again! I did use alcohol to clean the remote but it was alas...too far gone and has been replaced by a new one.

Simon I think the fake vomit would attract the rug rats, not repel them. It's like chumming shark infested water

Good evening rook...I need to type faster

So today I bought some neat items, one or both of which will most likely be resold. The first is an SS-TV Marked shell casing, made in 1938. The SS-TV shell casings were made in Poland, for the Waffen SS (Regular army SS, Not the Einsatzgruppen "Death Heads" in the camps). These are exceptionally rare, and expensive for just a casing. I'll probably sell it as I don't like the idea of owning anything related to them. The other item is a mint condition NSDAP (Nationalist-socialist Workers Party aka nazi) badge brought back from Germany by a WWII vet. These things can sometimes go up to $100, and I bought mine for $40. This for sure will be resold.

Good evening MBB, yes the large horse collar might be floating towards Dave's home.

Rusty,

I'm like you I have mixed feelings about these types of relics. Many years ago I bought some nazi era 5 mark silver coins for below melt value. I held them for awhile and finally sold them for scrap for a nice profit as the silver price had gone up.

They are in fact a part of history just a bit on the creepy side for what they represent.

Jim,

A few years back Dave had found a bunch of martindales(spelling?) so the horse collar should fit nicely with his collection...:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:
I knew there was a reason, just knew it.q:laughing7:
