Note to Dave: No excuses like "The ground was too hard", or ""Too bloody hot", or "Forget my water in the truck", or "Found nothing", or saw a "spider" :laughing7:
I want pics of finds in the dirt sir. Thank You.

...saw a "spider" :laughing9:

Jim, I learned early on in this hobby, if the finds are scarce you can always take pics of the landscape, pretty rocks or the leaves on the trees. :laughing7:

The lawn is slowing down here--thank goodness!
I'll have to cut it for the second time this year.
Imagine that the 2nd time in a month.:laughing7:

Hello....and good morning!! :hello:

Morning bart-may your day be fulfilling.

I hope so pepper...kinda dragging my butt right now. Not looking forward to the long drive to the wreck spot. The only thing that keeps me going in this heat is the thought of spanish treasure.

Well it seems the helicopter was up there for a reason.....very large bust under a half mile from us. Many federal agents and several people lined up in cuffs. This has to be what all the surveillance was !! Looks to be a major drug op take down. Very little news so far....but it was a major operation with land and air assets at the same time. They definitely new the comings and goings of these people and time there raid to capture most if not all at the same moment....precision timing. Hovering low in the tree line over our lot would give them great surveillance of this property.

<snip!>

Before we left he gave me a case of c1930 - 40 milk bottles, because my daughter wanted to have a drink of milk out of a real milk bottle. :laughing7:

This brought back a fond memory I haven't thought about in half a century!!!

As a kid I used to get up very early in the A.M., before anyone else. So I could get the milk from the front porch first! I *LOVED* opening them first so I could drink the *wonderful* cream from the top of each bottle!! (HEAVEN!!)

Thanks!!

Bart,

Well on the bright side now you know the cops weren't gunning for you.

They didn't drop a small parachute to you , with a pair of board shorts?:laughing7:

At the risk of offending those who've already read about it....

As a youngster (under 4 years of age?) I was setting on the front porch when the milkman stopped to deliver (bottles).
He asked what we wanted and I said chocolate.
Oh yes. The family had chocolate milk for everything till the next delivery...A good milkman!

Man I'm sitting in the wood shop totally defeated right now !!......traffic was a nightmare and I modified my plan to kyak hunt another spot. well there was not an empty spot to park at any island down key !! The islands are full right now...just a stupid amount of traffic, people, boats, kyaks, and everything else... the full tourist assault !! I QUIT !!

I wasn't there!
Roasting just fine up here...L.o.l..

So now plan "C".... my brother in law with the brewery has a family compound on a lot of land for an island 4-6 acres. So some of it is a conservation area that can't be developed. And yup you guessed it...ruins of a house from the 40s 50s.....maybe earlier or later than that....I'm not sure but I glimpsed it in the woods !! So I'll go and document it with video....and if all goes well and its doable I'll give it a full once over !! All in private on family land in peace and quiet !! And then I'll go for a swim in the bay from our own beach !!

Tell us about his brewery.

Private land is always good. Was doing some my buddy's 500 acres where we keep our cows
One keeper, lots of headstamps, iron.

I was mainly trying along the shoreline, for a better type of finds.
