Thanks very much for the advice on bringing her with me when I'm detecting Jim.
The only problem is... she finds it too difficult to cut the plugs and text her friends at the same time. :icon_scratch:

My challenge today is going to be getting her to put down her phone and leave the truck. :laughing7:

Is there anything to find in that hay field you had cut yesterday?

Come on-lets be truthful here buddy-you go detecting-get home and she's still zzzzzzzzzzz away.
I was wondering about the road trip you having C/W music cranked, daughter with earbud crammed in playing her tunes-looking at the phone-bringing up images of the countryside-instead of looking out the window. :laughing7:
Oh to be young again-having the whole world ahead of us-instead of most of it behind.

I should contact them to unload part of my inventory of stuff I amassed up at the shop. Gee Dave I could probably given you a lockset similar to that one. Have a few kicking around in the world of Jim's hoarding. :laughing7:

I just got the "I want to be a picker again" bug, looking at the prices they want for the inventory.

"Oh snap out of that dream world you silly old fart!"

I'm sure there's a few 1000 board feet of reclaimed they'd drool over.

But-but-but I have time-:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:

Morning Bill & Toe!

What a beautiful looking old barn there Jim, almost seems a shame to have to salvage the lumber. :unhappysmiley:
I also realize that not every old structure is able to be saved, at least the wood will live on for posterity.

I've bought a lot from Legacy over the years.
They're located in a very old Grand Truck Railway storage building across from the VIA Station in Cobourg.

The building was built of local limestone, years ago the owner showed me room in the basement that was likely sealed up in the 1920s by the rail workers.
I asked, "if there was anything in the room when they broke through the 2' thick wall"... unfortunately it was empty. :icon_scratch:

Here are some pics of what the building looked like 20 years ago when I started shopping here, it looks a lot different now.

Off to work now, hope everyone has a great Thursday!

Morning TC, Bill a fine looking Thursday it is looking out over the land.

Dave the best thing you could do to spark her interest if you can get her out of the truck is to seed a area with some thing awesome, Annabelle got lucky and found a gold ring and she has bin hooked since and no I did not plant the ring but it worked..

Gonna be a hot one forcasted high of 91F. Just finishing my first coffee then a quick breakfast and off for my morning walk.

Looks like a stretch of hot humid weather the folks like sharing from down south Bill-(names I won't mention) You know very well it's sticky, hot, close weather patterns they share, we keep our fresh cool days to ourselves.:laughing7:

I bought the barn for salvage as it was past the point of repair (so they believed)
It's better to reclaim the structure-than demo bury it as what happens most times by the landowner.
Remember the farm where you got the 2 cent? They just finished burying the Victorian brick home.
Off the top of my head just on my permissions I can count 8 barns and homes that have been buried.

Middle picture is taken from 40' up on a lift.
I even reclaimed 95% of all the stone foundation.(For stone walls, gardens, planters)

Good morning Rusty,bart

Good morning Rusty,bart

Don't get me wrong, I'm not say you're rusty bart-or is that bart is rusty-then again living near salt water-could bart be-or not be a tad rusty-what is rusty actually-just out of practice-or from lack of use?
Now that has me thinking now - when I think of the phrase "I'm a little rusty":icon_scratch:

Oh dont worry....I'm rusty and proud !! Wouldn't have it any other way !!
