Folks...
Forrest Fenn's Treasure has been found.
Finally.
We left on Saturday, and drove four hours to get to the hotel we were staying at. After checking in, we tried for three hours to find a place to eat that we could sit down in. Coe's is a really good diner that serves killer catfish, hush puppies, onion rings and fried apples, as I can attest to that. We drove down to the marina at dark to see the boat we were taking the next morning. It was like a whole other country. Million dollar houseboats, party music on the docks, and boats as far as the eye could see. There were girls everywhere, and there were cars and trucks in the parking lots that cost $70,000+++! There was even a Lamborghini SUV sorta thing parked at the spots where the boat owners live. (Bart, no wonder you like boats)
So we got to the dock at 4:00 am, and the captain took us on a ride that everyone but myself enjoyed. It was the first time for me being on a boat, and we were flying down the lake in the dark, in fog, with the captain dodging logs every other minute. My heart was in my throat.

Long story short, a foggy sunrise started the fishing, and immediately my dad and friend caught two keepers. The first fish I caught was a 24 in. striped bass that I was proud of. My friend limited out a few moments later, and after a small wait the bobber of my pole went straight down underneath the water. I've fished for bluegills all my life, I've never felt anything fight like this before. I even got a bruise on my stomach from the rod digging into me. After a long fight, this big Striper was finally pulled into the boat. It measures 31 inches. My dad had a similar experience when he pulled in a 34 in. striped bass, just missing state trophy fish requirements.

So after we tagged out, we went back to the docks to have the guides filet our fish, and to take pictures of our catches. There were turtles everywhere, but my camera had water on its lens, and the pics came out blurry. It was an amazing trip, and I think it was topped off when a stunner of a blonde actually said "Hi" to me (I think I made a ridiculous smile and waved).
We grilled some of the fish last night, and t was awesome. Y'all should really try lake Cumberland. You'll never forget it.
