Dave,

Good morning and post em up.

Beautiful sunny day here in Montreal.

Good morning everyone. :hello:
I'm just putting a post together of my finds from yesterday morning.
Would love to hear your thoughts about one particular relic I found.

Wet holiday weekend here in the north, so I'm glad I cut the grass yesterday.
Dave

On my morning walk along the lake I spotted a pair of snow geese a first for me. Usually only see Canada geese and mallard ducks.

About ticks.

I'm wondering about something. At the risk of jinxing myself and tempting fate. :dontknow:

And...I know I'm not into hunting wooded areas much. At least, not during the warmer months.

I'm curious if I'm doing something different, blessed or just don't taste good. :)

I read on here of all these tick bites and even though I do intentionally dress to discourage them. (Long pants, shirt, hat with a sun guard flap in the back like the Foreign Legionaires, high topped boots, and lots of Off on the boots, pants, knees. I even wear a very light long john pants during the summer. I also tape my pants leg cuffs.)

Bottom line? I've never been bitten or at least, haven't caught any of the buggers before they filled up and moved on to their next meal. :dontknow:

What sort of precautions does everyone take here? Seems like we've all been doing so much about this virus that we're forgetting just how serious other things that bite can be. Just a tick, mosquito, etc....Yaknowaddameanvern?

I don’t wear anything. Scares um off.:laughing7:

WIF,

I don't recall what it's called but some Canadian detectorists buy a liquid spray to put on their clothes to deter ticks. Maybe do a search for tick spray or some such.

It may Deet. I do wear Off with Deet in it. It's works well.

Permethrin works.
But cautions must be followed. Especially near cats until dry.
Sawyer brand is good.
For economy , Permethrin can be acquired at farm stores ,then properly diluted for human use.

Wow! Talk about bad tastin'!!!!

And....I *know* you're fibbin! If you really did that you'd be a legend on YouTube by now and not for what you find! :tongue3:

Yeah I was kidding. My thong really does the trick. No selfies available at this time.:laughing7:

Last time I said that was when I was laid up at home and a colleague called me up to give me some kind hearted cheering up. By calling me a dummy.

I said...."Wish you were here.....":angel12:
