I am reading your signature. Are you a John Wayne fan? Or did you just like those quotes of his? I have always bought John Wayne memorabilia for my dad as gifts. It's really the old school cowboys that he likes. So, guess who is ending up with the stuff I bought? Some still new in box. Oh well, it's the thought that counts.

I've been a fan of John Wayne and Glen Campbell for at least 40 years, ever since I saw them in the original movie True Grit.
Nice to hear that your Dad is also a fan.

As far as I'm concerned, he was the original American Cowboy!

Good morning folks.....been raining for 24 hours now. Yesterday was a wash out. Looks like something tropical forming over us. Pretty cool to watch the patterns of rain form and wrap up on the radar loop. Definitely some rotation forming in this one. Been cleaning this coin and sadly it is coin sick. It's back in the distilled water but not alot of detail has survived. When I woke up this morn it had turned black again overnight. I'm happy to have even found it though. It was stuck to a clump of rusted metal....kind of an accidental find !! Others were found on shore here, none later than 1680. This one was in chest deep water.

I had a feeling of foreboding this morning about an hour ago... and now I know why. A heating oil truck was in front of my house about to fill the oil tank...we have a wood burning stove. That would have not gone well. Whew! Dodged that one!
