Sorry to hear that GB. All that went south of me for a change.

Babies are born without kneecaps. They don't appear until the child reaches 2 to 6 years of age.

Say what?

Must be a Holiday Inn in your area.

That article touched on a lot of things that have been going through my mind lately. For one, I see it forcing us all to the online shopping scene. I hate that. I like to pick out my own produce, try on my clothes before I commit to buying, etc., but now, I don't want to touch anything, knowing it has been touched multiple times. Germaphobe here.

And speaking of being touched multiple times, why hasn't gas attendants been brought back? Cutting down on the multiple hands on the gas pump?

Restaurants: I kind of had this idea that there would be conversions to the drive-in style like back in the day or like Sonic of today.

Working at home: I loved that! I will not deny it. It is a lot harder for me, though, and ridiculous since I am the only one in my office now. There are more of my germs at home than there are there. :laughing9:
I have been going in to work with no mask, gloves on until I get in the door, then wash and sanitize and get busy. Starting next week, supposedly, it will be mandatory (from the State) for me to wear a mask. Ridiculous. The guys in the shop will have to wear them also. MR WD says it will be kind of nice putting a muzzle on them. He was kidding of course. They are not going to be happy about it. The masks are on order. I have been instructed to pass them out. It will be their responsibility to keep them clean and not loose them. I am glad it is not my responsibility to make them wear it.

And I am sorry, but I will not be able to go without hugs from my grandkids for the next 18 months! Geesh! We already missed our only granddaughter's third birthday! It's like it is a plan to dehumanize us. Turn us all into Spock-like beings. :crybaby2:

Treasure story

Got a friend who has one of the most annoying girlfriends I have ever met. She pesters me to no end....always got her crap on my work bench....constantly pestering me with questions while I'm trying to work. This chic never got past 16 in her mind for some reason. Well for 2 years she has wanted to go on a hunt with me in the bush. Finally I said ok let's go and she was super excited. This dummy shows up in her bikini and flip flops, and I was like ok whatever. I'll just go and leave her behind by the kyaks and lose her in the bush....theres just no way she can do this so unprepared !! Well was I ever shocked....this local raised keys conch didnt miss a beat and actually went barefoot in some spots. Who knew this chic was a calusa indian in the bush !! I started calling her swampfoot !! I left her behind several times in some dense Bush only to here her talking to herself and slowly catching up each time. I have to admit....I was impressed !! Now mind you she knows all about my underwater treasure hunting, so i tell her a spot to snorkel for treasure in a general area.....she comes back and tells me where she went and she has treasure to show me. I say how did you get in there I've been trying forever and they always tell me no ?? She says I just park next door right by the water ???? I go that's impossible and she says no look here on google.....sure enough there it is an access point right in the middle of private property. I always thought that there might be treasure or a wreckage trail here , but access is tough. Now she says look what I found, is any of this any thing ?? So she starts showing me shells and stuff....and yes she had a half dozen galleon spikes !! I was shocked !! I said how did you know to pick that up its totally covered in coral....she says you've showed us these before so I picked them up !! I'm totally blown away that she could identify these on the bottom with no experience at all !! I'm taking her along on a new mission here and we should get some good modern gold....and if were lucky enough some old Spanish gold or silver. Got a new spot to explore with spanish finds there.......now I just need a machine to hunt with everything is still locked in the bahamas.

I wore masks for many years at multiple jobs.
Gloves, steeltoed boots ,hard hat, earplugs, safety glasses long clothing. Tyvec suits respirators face shields at times.... All fun stuff in heat and dust. Keep me thin though I guess..
A person can get used to it,though some have skin sensitivity to masks. A real problem.

Long a proponent of feeding the "neighbors" before a big conglomerate when given the choice even if paying a little more , the small business climate is troubling.
Small villages and towns have personalities and those with pleasant ones should be encouraged.
Over 40 years ago I wandered North kinda late on a midsummer night night and stopped in one of those villages the highway had moved traffic away from the old one that ran through it.
A familiar struggle that some adjusted to better than others. Expand away from the traditional heat towards the new highway? Or hold things in place ? Or a little of both?

Well , this village referred to stayed put and suffered.
At the time it was doing alright ,enough though.
Sat on a bench and soaked up the quiet and atmosphere ,and not long after started house hunting the nearby areas.
Ended up near a different village but have since relocated nearer the one.
And it fades more every year. Just not enough traffic.

Nothing like a personally owned and operated business for accurate knowledge and service.
Them old buildings with squeaky hardwood floors and some with burn marks from stoves generations ago still bustle with the dust from the past. Even if few people are stirring it up.
Their lack of traffic and former pride of ownership with enough money to keep things spruced up leaves a twinge of misplaced nostalgia. But , nostalgia does not draw traffic enough.

Stopping for something where some one knows your name and will nearly bend over backwards to help ya , vs autonomous synthetic service?
Another battery from the place nearby I've bought so many at over the years and they exchange them from the back of my truck , the same place someone from will be "judging" antique tractors on the 4th of July , vs a road trip to a place folks I'll never see anywhere else looking at me perplexed as to why I'm there empty handed telling them I need a battery?

Bart, sounds like you found an annoying little sister to treasure hunt with. That part where you said she never got past 16 in her head makes my want to question if she is a pot smoker. We were told that when a person smokes regularly, their brain stops maturing. If so, that makes a lot of sense in my family. :laughing9:

Something to think about;
We are all running and hiding from this one. Mostly because we are being ordered. Wasn't that way yesterday, why? Because we didn't know this one was out there. Yes...it is a *bad* one, freshly discovered. Now we know about it and we're fighting. But!!! What about all the other ones? The others that are out there and just as bad or even worse! We, in all our collective wisdom, just don't know about them yet?

How many people have caught and/or died from the regular "flu" this year? Don't hear about that do we.

My point is that yes we absolutely have reason to fear this one. But, is this the apocalyptic one? Or are we just being made to believe it is for those who desire to control the world? Just look at the propaganda that we are being inundated with now on every channel! Even forming of "contact trace" squads in order to find out who is associating with whom. Collecting DNA? Divide and conquer, 6 foot apart, (makes it harder to collectively think). Masks that supposedly keeps us from infecting others. But are they one way masks? If it prevents infecting others then the germ can only flow in one direction? Out from us? (I know, just something to impede...but still.)

Famous last words, "Oh, that can never happen....here!"

There! Now I've said it! And now I feel better? :dontknow:

Soapbox mode off. Or as someone said before...."I've had muh say."

Back to the festivities I so rudely interrupted! :tongue3:

Morning Bart! Hi all! I managed to hang onto the rail this time!
WHADIFIND thanks for reintegrating for me, the whip sounds like good game plan. :whip2:
