And there it is...beautiful !!

I'm going crazy....I had a huge mission planned....but it was alot of work alone and kinda dangerous to do solo. Long kyak ride and a deep Bush penetration. I'm pretty sure I've found an old settlement called tumbacaya by the spanish and calusa indians...I'm eager to prove my theory with evidence...but...itll have to wait till I have a partner. So I'll go pound my pounded wrecker camp. See ya guys later !!

For those going crazy with the self isolation a bit of inspiration for you. A local Montreal chef who forages for a lot of his ingredients.

Of course we had to take that stupid mutt with us, and just as we got there, she puked a lot everywhere, so we had to turn around and come home. I am honestly really, really not liking this dog so far.

Rusty,
First the crazy goats now a dog that drives you nuts.....it just adds a little spice to your life....:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:

You don't like the dog , you're not going to like the dog. And the dog already knows...

No food ,light water before travel.
Diet tolerance varies among dogs . They will puke multiple things if indigestible , or if they are stressed.

Riding in vehicles is an accumulative thing.
Short trips first. Did I mention not feeding them first?

Dogs position in relation to vehicle axles makes the difference in dogs with jumpy bellies puking or not. Dog in line with axle is better than positioned across/forwardbackwards.
Watching the world through the windows while in motion takes getting used to too. Not just in one trip or ride...

We have dogs that know when we're leaving and want to "go for ride" without an invite.
They know where to be in vehicles and to behave.
But , they also ride in crates in vehicles at times. Puke there or whatever and the towel bedding goes in a bag , the crate floor gets cleaned ,new towel and we're done. (I don't recall the last time a dog hurled in a vehicle.)

A dog pukin don't bother me if I know why. Having cleaned up after dozens of dogs over the past couple decades it's just par for the course sometimes.
A dog puking repeatedly might have ingested something it should not have. A piece of bone , a toxic substance ,plastic, hair, who knows.
Diet could be wrong if it's only dog food.

Consider a canines natural need/adapted through thousands of years diet ,then read the dogfood label. Most of it is garbage and much of it is corn. And corn is garbage to some/ many dogs.
A dog chewing it's feet often has allergies , consider the food there too.
If it has not been walking on salt (ice melter ect.) or treated wood or....

Or a puking dog could just be stressed out. Is it blowing it's coat? (Shedding hair rapidly ,not a seasonal shedding). Panting? or what...
I don't know your dog or what it's been up to. But would value it as another pair of eyes ,and superior scenting ability if I had a working partnership with it.

I call one little guy my guard dog. Like many others here he's not really mine , but I take care of him.
If I sit or lay down he joins me and is on alert. Well mostly. Hard to sneak anything by him though.
Open a gate and go through it fast with the wheelchair while closing it and he's still with me.
And will go outside when I do , to check things out for invaders if not told to stay and wait inside..
After he checks things out he'll usually want up in the chair to continue checking as far as he can see, hear, scent, ect..

A dog is it's pedigree. A certain grandparent depending on breeding , can be more a factor than it's parents.
And some dogs are not car dogs. Those take fair patient introduction to traveling in a car.
We take it for granted , but strap us to rockets and launch them , we might get woozy too...

And Rusty:

It takes me a week to change dogs diet.
Adding a little of the new to the old (dry food example) and increasing the ratio of new each day.
Canines have a different gut than we do ,how it functions.
They can/will puke a sudden change. Trust me on that...

I'm a couple weeks ahead on reserves but should figure out how to get some more.

It's takes a bit RR for pups to get use to riding. My pup did the same thing. After a few rides mine got use to it and was fine.

Good luck and best wishes Bart.

It always freaks me out a little going out on a boat alone, even though it's always just me, myself, and I in the boat anyways. Any little thing that goes wrong can turn into an emergency real quick.

And I got this fear of, or at least a healthy respect for sea monsters deep in my heart.

And so....After letting the dogs run outside , one of the eleven puked on the livingroom carpet while I was rounding up some others that pushed the hallway gate open and were in another room.
Hooray! What's that about?

"My" little guard dog went after the bulldog by snapping at his face ( when I said "dogs out" and opened the gate and the dogs rushed through) , that has him outweighed greatly and my hand intervened by pinning him. (don't do that if they're actually fighting, bites can result. I'm no pro , but have it down to an art sometimes ,on the rare occasion I'm in arms reach.)
That bulldog ever decides to retaliate , it's going to end poorly for jr..
That's gotta stop though. He knows I disapproved and has resumed guarding me again. We'll see...

It was NOT my idea to take it fishing, it was my mom.

So when we get home, we're like, "no biggy, we'll just fish out of our pond". That... thing - jumps right in the deepest mire of the pond, and swam in it, while my mom and dad are going bananas trying to get it out.

Huh.
Dog must be feelin better then....
Maybe you could buy them a leash for Christmas. :laughing7:

Rusty,

Your situation kind of reminds me of this song.:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:
