ARC,

You're pretty much like me when I retired I kind of figured why not do stuff rather than watching others do stupid stuff on the brain dead programs on tv.....:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:

"Pffffft.

Your gonna need that roger.

Good morning fellow pirates!
I made it on board the ship this morning, with the help of only one mug of coffee! Ta da!

I'm getting my diving gear ready (I have no diving gear, just some goggles), because we may be going to a local creek with the detector. This part of the creek saw two houses from the 1850s until today, and soldier were camped nearby, so you just never know.

Oh ya.....baby.......silver religous medallion from 1733 treasure fleet !! Wooo hoooo......theres treasure on those beaches !!

It's a small little guy.....but treasure none the less !!

Man, O' Man, Bart, that's awesome! Congratulations!

Perhaps I should go the extra mile and bring my goggles down to Florida...

Bart.... YOU DA MAN :) Do you think it will clean-up ? Is it silver ?

You should start a running topic on your 1733 fleet finds, so you don't have to start a new one every other day. I think a thread devoted to this fleet, and everything that has come out of it would be a great idea.

Just started fermenting a 1 gallon jar of dill pickles.

No arrowheads, no coins, no nuthin'. I dove into a pool of water, and wondered if I'd have any "package" when I came out - it was FREEZING! The water was no more than 55 degrees.

Move to Florida, learn to dive, salvage. If you don't get eaten by a gator, python, or tiger sharks you could get rich!

Bart,

Well done on the religious medallion bravo!

Quite a few years ago, someone wrote of visiting an operation of some well-known pickle maker. They said there were huge open wooden vats outdoors and a variety of winged insects and other things were floating in there with the pickles :)

I've been looking up maps to metal detect around the Perryville area. I found some nice Confederate reserve area spots. No doubt these were pounded in the past, but I have a backup plan. Yankee reserve spots. :laughing7:
