The guy is lucky that shot in the groin was "just" a paintball.
At 18 a mate was arguing about recoil and all it was he said, was how you held the gun.
To prove it he put the butt of a 22 Magnum on the top of his head saying nothing will happen. Butt sitting on his head. Just a simple 22 Magnum nearly knocked him out. And they hardly have anything holding it normal on your shoulder. Just goes to show what you body flesh absorbs as nothing.
He was an idiot. Lucky he didn't put my 6.5 carcano I had on it or my other mates 270.

Seen a few scope eye bites.
Gee what happened bud?
Grumble, grumble, 😉

I guess he never learned that whole “for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction” thing. 😱

Well yesterday I leveled my woodshed poles.
Lifted the 10ft x10ft platform (1/3 of a deck off house) it has a waterproof membrane over the plywood.

So managed to get squeezed between sugar shack & tree, lifted it up 9ft placed on the forward 6x6 posts.

I hit the back post, 🤪
Had to realign the platform where it sat over the post not on it.
The back was to sit on the header. (In theory)
My chain brace let go, and the platform actually flipped upside-down when it finally finished its decent.
Yes it good to be in a heavily built machine.

So today, reset posts, re alignment of platform. Already lowered the posts (not needing such heights) brain fart on my part.

Be careful out there Jim, sheesh!

I have a policy when I do the more precarious types of work.
"STAY AWAY"
I have a good track record of doing the "Well that went south" results.
If I work alone I just have too worry about myself, and not anyone else.

When I disassembled huge air handling systems, or smashing up pharmaceutical manufacturer's equipment.
The guys locked down the gates, and they stayed out of the yard.
Nobody ever got a scratch that way.

I was kind of like Bam-Bam from out of the Flintstones 🤣

I'm seriously thinking of getting a set of these installed on the contractor bucket.
It would really help around the property for trees, brush, rocks.

I fabricated some "claws" on the bucket of my 753 that worked similar to that and found them very useful.

It's always good to know a few rules of basic science!

L

Wish we had that type of thing here.
What would you estimate the age of those?
Have ever find any while out exploring/detecting?
