It amazes me how the advertising world USES women to sell products and NO ONE says anything about it.

I just realized that handsome men have been used in advertising too,......




So what about that?

In the Victoria Secret case it makes perfect sense,.......

A company that makes garments for women, uses women in it's advertising.


Now, when it's John Deere,... well actually I couldn't find any John Deere ads with women,.......

Ok, like Snap-On tools,........look,....

But, that was mild, ie,....she wasn't in short shorts and a tube top.

Can you dig it?

Now,..... I remember when a friend, who is a professional mechanic, told me
that Snap-On wasn't doing calendars with girls any more,... just pictures of tools.

The girls started looking like hookers.

Well said young man.....also those models I'd bet make more per hour doing that than a railway engineer who drives a train and makes serious money.

So the modelling gals are getting top dollar and laughing all the way to the bank....no taking advantage of women is involved IMHO opinion.

It's ingenious. The guy sees the girl, also inadvertently sees the ad. Bingo.

By the way, were these women "forced" to do the ad? Nope. They volunteered. If they were offended, they would be in the photo shoot. Do I agree with it? Yes and no. I say keep some clothes on for sure, but if the models are willing to pose, so be it. It's up to us to look or not.

Ya , there's pics , but I didn't look far for legit company ones.
After all , are we ogling dames ,or tractors? (I ogle tractors if they are featured .)

Maybe the tractor markets Mr.s's with callouses didn't give positive reviews of adds objectifying woman...Or , girls with staples in their bellies elsewhere just were not associated with tractors as mechanized attributes helping sell replacements for mules and horses.

Now , they could put pretty girls on tractors...But they'd still be tractors.
We could redo this one. It would still be titled "Braggin Rights" though!

When I was 28 or so I worked at a large aircraft company,.............

One day there was a customer walk through,..........

The prospect customer walking through was a woman,.......

Well,... wanting to impress this possible customer, she was shown the entire operation,....

Including assembly,...... where all the mechanics are,..... and tool boxes are,......

Next thing,..... big notice goes out,...............

"No non industry related pictures on tool boxes or else where"

The guys just started putting aircraft and race car pictures on their boxes.

One picture I remember,... was of Cynthia Fox, a radio broadcaster.



In a nightgown.


Oh,...... by the way, they never sent us any work anyways,.....they were cheapskates.

I asked an advertising big shot one time about all the risque ads involving women for various products which in some cases weren't even relevant to the product or service.

His simple explanation was you guessed it.....sex sells.

Like I said,males think with the wrong head. Does anyone know the difference between "Male" and "Man"?
