Ahhh....peace and quiet.

ARC,

Here you go....

Video did not work.

Grateful dead,,, deal song.

Was kinda reliving some ole GD days here.

Saw them a few times.... met them... minus Jerry... for he had passed on at that point.

Anyway... night guys.

Happy Daytona Day!

Happy for who RR ?

The drivers who were psyched up only to have to do it all over
or
the fans who showed up and have to work tomorrow and won't be able to watch from the stands ?

For the record, it wasn't supposed to rain. :BangHead:

The crowd was 100% sold out, and mixed chants of U.S.A! U.S.A! and Four more years, four more years could be heard when Trump showed up. It was really something, with the thunderbirds, and all. Trump himself drove around the track, and Clint Bowyer was on the radio going "Gosh that's so freakin' cool"

Quite a few disappointed fans. Bet the beer booths sold a lot :occasion14:

It's hard to recall the last time Daytona was NOT sold out.

I thought it was exceptionally COOL!!!!!! But nature won the day. It does stink for those who have to work tomorrow, but I am sure some have planned for the scenario.

I am not 100% on this, and have no reference to back me up, but I believe from 2007 through 2015 Daytona 500 did not have sell out crowds and that's part of the reason they renovated it and took out the seating along the back stretch.

Mr WD showed me a post from his FB where a 4" + point/arrowhead/spearhead was found on the shores of Lake Erie. Tried to find the post again to share, but couldn't.

I think I saw the source you were looking at Sis. Yeh, taking out that many seats would increase the chance of a sold out crowd. Thanks for pointing that out, ( I guess )
