How odd. After all the kangaroo stuff here I was at our local farming hardware place to get a sprinkler. I overheard an older guy talking to someone about his knee replacement. Turned out it was a guy on the news here last year attacked by a big rogue buck roo. The news story was just the immediate aftermath of it and never told the whole story.

'Vicious' kangaroo attack leaves 74yo man half-clothed and bleeding

Brian O'Donnell, 74, is resting at home after being left with his "slipper full of blood and pants half torn off" when attacked by a large, male kangaroo on his St Arnaud property on Saturday.

But after talking for 20 minutes it was much more.
It came at him paws up growling, he tried to back off but it kept coming. He said all he could think of was try to punch it away. He may be older but he's a damn fit looking bloke I can tell you looking much younger for his age.
As he was laying into it for all he had it was like nothing, it came in closer inches away from his face and grabbed him. You see the Rags thing with Marty the monster post I put up!?
As this guy was near the dam he said it tried to drag him in, in a headlock to drown him. Iv seen them do that yrs ago with my dogs hunting.
Anyway, after fighting that attempt off it still went berserk on him. Cutting open one leg and smashing the other knee.
He spent a lot of time in hospital which the news didn't show as they just showed the initial attack.
He got sepsis, blood poisoning in the leg cut open then stitched up.
But, the sepsis continued. His other knee the Roo destroyed had to be replaced. It was. But. That knee continued with the same issue, he was told 50/50 you may lose your leg above that knee.
After lots of everything they saved his leg.
Finally home. He is driven in by his son with his wife. He sees the exact same rogue roo near the dam. He gets them to stop.
He says he gets out and yells at it "you are gone you mongrel thing" and pointed at it like he was holding a gun.
The next night he gets his son to drive him to the water dam.
His exact words "I put a high powered bullet straight through its skull".
All true. The guy I met is 100% the guy.
He said he has come across a few like that and reckoned he was lucky to survive that one.

Good morning!☕️ Good for you newnan man! I retired and never looked back. Every day is like Sat. You may have to buy a new clock like I did to keep track of days!🤣

Coming up on 18 yrs.

The only words of doing it is:
