Here we wear thongs on our feet. And for some reason we like decorating trees with them. There are dozens of Thong Trees around Australia. We have one about 30ks away from here in Kingower.

I don't know how it started, or why. One place was some beach area and a local would pick up the ones people left and nail them to a tree there. But it started before that I think. Kind of a I was here type of thing I guess. Iv never done it though. I remember a friend taking me to see the one at Kingower maybe 20yrs ago. I was "ok, a thong tree in the bush, that's weird
" looked at it for about 20 seconds then we went detecting.
