I like being a country hick, living around other country hicks. Just me. :/

That madness is everyday and everywhere here in California,........

RR,..... you just have to look past it and carry on doing as you please, with who you please.

We are older,...... and can give you a heads up,...... hang around who you are comfortable with.

Life is not a Hollywood movie,......when things go wrong,..... they go wrong for real,....

be true to who you are, and be true to you and yours.

Stay country and you'll be fine

TreasureNet....... Goodnight.

My verticalness is sloping.

Time to right myself.

CU N AM

Good night AARC,.........

True that.

I think I'll be fine when I start working.

Oh right, PlainBellySneetch is a Dr. Suess reference. Last night I recited The Sneetches for my Step Mom who used to read it to me when I was like six years old. Dad was laughing his head off the whole time. I used to recite my Cat in the Hat, but I've since forgotten about This and That! :laughing7:

Belly stars are no longer in style said Mc Bean, what you need is a trip though my star-off machine!

Maybe just "Sneetch"? Whatever, I'm open to suggestions.

Well let's take a look see at the neighbors then. Dummits. That is the last name of a LARGE family here. How large? Large enough to have several roads and ridges named after them. They crawl out of the woodworks every summer like crazy...

We also have a guy that's been chewing tobacco for over 50 years. He has no teeth to prove it! :laughing7:

Another one has a southern accent so bizarre, he needs a translator. That's not a joke.

One has a million dollar home, that has been trashed with wrecked cars, a slimy green swimming pool, beehives, assorted garbage, and enough woodpiles to kill an environmentalist.

Another has so many dogs, one cannot tell if his yard is just muddy or.....

But I'd rather hang around these folks all day than the alternative.

Quit talkin about my kin folks four I call a Mod.:laughing7:

Haven't seen any mice here since we started spraying mint spray around...and my son was testing out his sub-woofer, made the walls shake, rattle and roll. I think every thing fled our house!
They also don't like the smell of cinnamon.

We spray mint around the doors in summer to discourage spiders and mosquitoes.

The mice get under the siding and either run walls or the attic .
When it gets cold is the time they come in.
Poor acorn crop this year means few mice , but one with a briefcase must have sold a winter condo (the house) or something...

I used the sled to get a ladder from shed to attic hatch. 4 traps waiting in the attic.
Matter of time , they'll find a trap.
Outside I put traps in plastic coffee tubs with a hole cut in the lid placed on bottom edge.
Pinched one mouse near a bird feeder , and not seeing any more tracks in the snow.
A vole trapped earlier with a exposed trap near a hole. But exposed traps risk birds. (Oooops.) And cats taking off with them if occupied...(Cuss.)

Perhaps it's a matter of perspective...

I've been to cities; Lexington, Cincinnati, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Charleston, Nashville, Huntsville and Savannah, and have been weirded out more times than not. I'm also not a real "people person" to begin with either...

Another thing, I have been a hunting guide since was 13, an have been around the kind of people that go outdoors, and stay outdoors. Rural people. Folks from rural Alabama, Georgia, Nebraska, Texas, Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Louisiana, Mississippi, Idaho and Montana and I think Kansas if I remember correctly.

Am I totally backwards, and do I hate all town life? Not at all!

I love small towns. Consider Garrison, Vanceburg, Ashland, Frackville, St. Claire, Washington (pa), Fredricktown, and many others. The folks there are to my liking. It's when we up the population, is when I get antsy. :laughing7:

I’ve been everywhere man. I like that song.

That right there,...... you're a fine young man RR,.......

Stay that way

The other is a very hard row to plow.

but it's kinda messy.

I'm thinking of changing my forum name.

Any suggestions?

They don't have to be good suggestions....

...but I do like animals, maybe BilgeRat, or perhaps PlainBellySneetch?
