The problem is slight resistance causing over heating and not a heavy draw or quick short. Electricity is a tricky devil.
Would you say if a plug was partially out of the reciprocal it could cause this to happen?

Possibly. Or a loose connection. Sometimes it’s just a device that pulls just hard enough to cause a heat build up but not enough to trip the breaker.

Was it a UPS plugged into it? You can get a cheap charge meter on Amazon that plugs in-line off a device and tells you how much it’s drawing.

It’s probably just a junk Chinese spitter but it could be the device that was plugged into it.

Took the kids fishing last night and Snagged this little fella on my ultra light rod. Second cast with a new crank bait. You could have jammed a softball in that mouth.

Who knows what was plugged into it-it's kind of like a place (office) where this man never goes.....:laughing7:

Oil heater, shedder, calculator, lamp, charger :dontknow:
It would not be impossible to gang another outlet onto the existing one, but a real pain as the wall has been bricked.
Probably a good power bar is a better option.
Heater plugged in directly into the outlet.

Now that's a catcher's mitt of a mug on the little fella.

Congrats!
Hold them more upright and cause less jaw and joint damage on those released..
