My apology Duckshot and I went back, ( after I understood what you were referring to ), and corrected that spelling. Not sure if it was due to typing too fast or the spell checker. But it was funny how you caught my attention to that. Nicely done

You said that J-22s are "dangerous" because you heard of them blowing up in people's hands. That is complete rubbish. "Blowing up" implies an overcharge due to weak barrel construction, and no j-22 is going to have its barrel "blow up" without a barrel obstruction, same as would rupture any barrel on any firearm.

The weak point in the J-22's design is the slide and striker retainer is just a little hook shaped peice of Zamak. When the gun is continuously fired dirty or when reassembled incorrectly after cleaning the retainer can fail. When this happens the gun does not "blow up". All that happens is the side ejects from the rear of the frame upon firing. It's happened to me when I had one incorrectly assembled. The slide just fell off the farme and landed at my feet. While it is possibly a weak point in the design, even a $400 Seecamp will shoot itself to peices eventually. I suspect that the frame stretches with the .380 some, but so might a Seecamp.
