So you're well acquainted with the dog itch and what helps.
I wish I would of asked sometime back.
Yeah but we didn't get the bully relieved.

Often it's something in food.
Nope.
Oh the dog gone foods...

Recently it's been , try finding food without chicken.
(Canned for some short on teeth dogs).
Nevermind what the label says. Look for any chicken in ingredients.
One big store I gave up after checking most cans/types. Beef? Look at the ingredients to see how much chicken.

Dust mites.
Oh boy. You're in trouble here if they make you itch.
But...,Per a bully owning vet we freeze the bulldogs kibble to kill dust mites.
Nope. Not the answer.

I will , and it is a hazard to guess of course , suggest the treated wood out back on the deck where we run them out could be a factor in feet issues. More during wet times.

Grain free? We don't object.
But corn we trend ducking regardless.
Some cheap food is danged near corn meal.

On we go.
He's standing here now like he needs something.
Either to go outside , or be told he's a good boy..

Max is on the raw food, supplemented with raw veggies.
Beef, pork, turkey, duck, fish, and some chicken (not much).
No treated woods
No Kibble
Read though even pure beef can still retain the corn in the meat as it takes it on.
They finish beef on corn to marble the meat up.
So if one is allergic to corn-then it would be a factor.

What ever happened to the dog-got left over everything supplemented with a kibble lived a trouble free life.
Too many high breeds I'm thinking has weakened the genes down over time.

Alright I have had quite the busy day. It was neck adjustment day, and I am not supposed to do much of anything for 24 hours. But there was still a lot of prep to do. May have overdone it. The night will tell. 🫤

For those who are traveling, may you have safe passage.
For those who have a big beautiful family, you are blessed. Enjoy every moment.
For those who have a messed up, drama king and queen type of family, love them anyway.
For those who have a small family, relish it.
For those who are alone, may you find peace and comfort and fond memories.
For those who are outside the US and are not partaking in this holiday, hoist the sails and don’t drink all of the rum while we’re gone!

Good night.

Some dogs do fine on the cheap crap food.
Of course none at my house do hah ha ha.

Bitsof chicken in my rice at dinner.
One grand champion visited the N.E. of the country years sago as a stud for a while (heck he headed your way...)
Raw food diet there and heavy on chicken.
Danged dog knew I had chicken tonight..
I broke character and gave him some.

We've too many (or used to) to feed raw food.
Clean up the big deal.
And , I don't own or want to find room for a big freezer.
But raw food diets vary.
We're runnin small dogs here. But 10% bone is seen repeatedly in diets alleged best ratios.
So what kind of bone? And in what form?
I know breeders who toss whole chunks of chicken.
But a back isn't a thigh. AND they're not feeding with feathers on. Which like fur affect how bone passes through digestive systems.
Pork is naughty bone. So too chicken. But?

Deer here as of a few years ago are C.W.D. infected. Per x amount.. (Getting kills tested anymore is getting annoying. It used to be convenient and free. )
That ended me feeding dogs scrap. And letting them worry big bones and joints out back in the yard.
But the raw meat enzymes are good for teeth! For our dogs that still have teeth anyways..

So the Max saw me put his pill in a piece of banana tonight.
Worked every other time, except he took it cautiously, chomp, chomp, chomp, spit.
Yup expelled that white pill with the grace of a well trained person eating salted pistachios.
Well Mr Max we can do it the other way, open (Pepper prying open the jaw) places pill in back of mouth, hold the jaw closed, watch for 3 licks, done.
On the upside he's doing so much better without this itch.
Heh...
Even if mine dont see it.... out it comes.
I have to hide like some addict crushing up medicine and then mix with something.

IF you gave my dogs beef stew... you would return and plate would be immaculate... EXCEPT...every single green pea would be on the plate.

No deer tonight.
Well a trio on the way home crossed the road headed towards my property..
Oddly enough, we also had a trio cross our driveway last night just about dusk. Three little bucks -- a couple of four pointers and one with just two. They stopped and looked at us for a bit, then meandered on through.
