Good morning BB Wow blown out brake line sounds scary Well, it’s better to be stuck on the couch than to be stuck to the back of a big rig. lol. I have a question for you about the equinox 700 you mentioned the video numbers are different than the 800 are they like the manticore and go all the way up to 99?

Bartending finally starting to slow down here on fort Myers beach, my boat got stolen after the hurricane so I picked up a Jon boat. Been a fun time lately taking friends out on the tinnie up the creek.

Blak Bart,
Yes, I went back and saw your posts regarding the Brig Baltic. Those were great memories, especially finding a board floating up in the water column which I grabbed to avoid being hit. Looking at the board there were words that read 'Brig Baltic, Galveston'. Eventually, I confirmed the board was onboard the Baltic headed for Galveston as part of cargo to stock a hotel with common and more expensive items.

As far as a crew, I'm only aware of two people on board and their experience is unknown other than they survived.

As for Nick's video, I'll only say the narrative was embellished.

The vessel shown with 'blowers' was my R/V Explorer (Roatan).

We left most of the bottles (empty beer and Champagne bottles) within the vessel then sanded it in by using the vessel's blowers to blow the sand back into the wreck. One reason was to preserve what was left. Another reason was to deter other TH's from the site due to the amount of (now broken) glass that was in the cargo.

We finished our salvage op just ahead of Hurricane Andrew and made it safely back to port in Florida.
Regretfully, the town of Spanish Wells did not do well in Andrew.

Don in SoCal.
