little nippy here 28F - got coffee going - wife has been ill this week - finally fever-free yesterday - negative for covid - something like the flu but very glad she's starting to feel better - thanks for asking bart - hope things are well with you

@Surf_Pirate Dm when your coming, and we can try and meet up. I'll probably be in long Island bahamas for the spring blue marlin spawn, fishing for the giants, but if not I'll be available for treasure hunting and rum drinks !!

I'm having coffee contemplating wether to hunt for gold in the swim holes, or hunt relics from the past......im leaning toward gold drops in the swim holes. Gets crowded on Saturday though, and Monday or Tuesday is better for finding.

The theory is to wait for the long weekend to end. Hopefully the swimming hole will de full from Friday to Monday with holiday swimming tourists. If each spot sees 100-200 swimmers then there should be a ring or 2 in each spot. My job is to get there before the other hunters on Tuesday morning and get the gold first. When other hunters get there and find fresh digs and no targets they get very discouraged. If this happens on a regular basis I can often drive away the other hunters through discouragingly slim pickings. My ultimate strategy is to dominate the three most highly trafficked swim holes through the heavy part of tourist season......it can get down right ugly battling the other hunters, and some of them are as clever as I am and we go back and forth with the strategy especially at the peak of water season which is during summer break from school.....we get waves of tourists coming to the keys as each state staggers there schools summer vacations. Warm up for spring break is now !! Spring break is another great time in the water down here....big plans for work and play already !! Woooo hooooo !! Spring is in the air !!

Good morning crew. 40 F and showers this morning. Cloudy for the next week. That's according to our 10-day forecast (which is good for 3 days).
The catch is, we don't know which of the 10 days those 3 days are.
Went to the eye Doc yesterday. My visions pretty good for a guy old enough to remember a dime bottle of Coke and Sky King.
