I don't want to be laying in the snow wrestling that danged thing. (!)
Regular deer firearm starts Tues.. No time to be prepping for winter then.

Driver side mirror rotted on plow truck and isn't really usable. Tried it... And I need a mirror there.
Have a set of hang on towing mirrors but old one is in the way.
If I have to pull it and leave holes in the door , I might as well just replace it.
Have a new mirror coming but still haven't got the old one ready to pull. Did start on it.
Crazy. Hidden fasteners (I still haven't located #4.) Heated mirror and power adjustment wiring.
Get to tear into the door ect.. And to see how the fasteners are attached....It's not cold weather (hands) type work. At least not my hands.
Should find some mineral caulk or something to put in the socket to hold nuts to put back on or I'm probably going to drop one in the door where it can't be recovered.

More yard work left than I'll get done. But snow removal I'll have covered. ( In theory!)
It seems that we all have these time sucking glitches in our lives.
Getting in the way of the everyday events.
Got the 5000 Ford ignition to do, doesn't charge.
Hanging there with the key in its guts.
I shutter when I think of what there's to be done, but trying to salvage another hunt day in soon to go and find a few more gun parts.

Lol all good. I'm actually glad you're enjoying your well deserved D2. I'm glad I enjoy seeing your successful hunts.
Thanks
Life is too short not to do a tad of spoiling once in awhile.
It seems that we buy a nice toy every once in awhile, but not a whole lot of anything else.
Gee we have friends that the clothing budget was $10K every FLORIDA winter.
I'm in the $100.00 range. 🤣
Sad when a 25 yr old piece falls off into pieces. And have to start wearing the 15yr old stuff.

I never have much money and anything I get I work my arse off for so I appreciate things. Getting my D1 took a lot of miserable work and I was so excited to get it and still love it. But now time to work towards D2.

Ya. Do we die regretting what we didn't get done? Or celebrating what we did and enjoyed?

Your ammeter working right?
one model tractor (non Ford) I own if the meter is bad the current doesn't pass through it. Apparently to the charging system after.

Foamy oil in one tractor. Water in it?
It has the hydraulic fluid leak into crankcase too.
I put engine oil in place of the hydraulic oil and just pulled some out of crankcase now and then.
I had water gurgling and hard start last time.
Seems rain caps on exhaust stacks don't really keep rain out...
Another project...

I just called my former tool salesman neighbor about borrowing a magnetic 7/16th socket for the mirror job. (Found all the fasteners locations.)
Pulled the door panel off and a bunch of electrical connections. Pulled door speaker.

The round ammo I dug up. Dug up near the grinding stone area doubt it has any relation. With my luck probably just a buck shot round.
Takes lead about 100 years in the ground to turn that shade of white.

A little one for WD

Geez I can't believe it, hunted and did a post up on the same day.

I gotta go to the treasure coast.....its to tempting not to try.....so ill go and push my way through the detecting crowds and see if I can here the faint signal of a deep spanish silver !! Some are saying don't waist your time....others say I would be crazy not to try !! The only way is to see for myself.....so here i go. Loading the car now, and should be there for the falling tide. No partner, no family, just a man on the beach with his machine.....wish me luck !!
