Top of the day to you blossom
RU wishing the colander was the 16th today-and you would be having your spot of tea served out in the fields.
And to u sir!! xx yes i am!! Its a bright sunny day here to make it worse!!! 😬 xx … hmmm wen in the field… himself barely allows us to stop for lunch … he is a hard task master 😬 xx

I need to think of a movable platform/pads/walk board to get out into mire to detect and probe.
Along the shore in low water season I've dug 3 piece molds, turn molds, medicines, and the broken glass is thick.

So I'd like to probe out into the further areas from shore.
Even in the summer one can sink into this black mire up to 18 inches.
Since there's so many shards it would be a sure way of getting a sliced up foot.
Sort of a version of Canadian mud larking-without the ability of eyeballing the finds. :laughing7:

The worse that could happen is falling off something and getting wet/muddy-YUKKY

Thinking I wonder how big 4" ridged SM foam board would have to be to support me on the mire without sinking?

So if this was your foreshore and the little treasures were lurking out there in the mire-how would another pirate approach this?
History of the area early warehouse on shore mid 1800's signs of stone cribbing and steel rods from past dock/wharf.
Steam wheelers/barges used to dock here and load/unload the cargo for the area commence.

Like they say go big or stay at home. :laughing7:

That picture reminds so much of my copper/brass broker's warehouse.

Dark dingy/ blackened walls, results from a hundred years of foundry soot.
On real windy days the glass panes from 3 stories up would break loose-fall down onto the floor below around where the guys were working.

Surely your dug treasures humble him ever so slightly. :)
