I've had such a strong urge to go down to Virginia to detect lately. My plan is, to use my Thanksgiving vacation this year, to go down to Culpeper county and just knock on doors. If I find a single, solitary bullet, I'll be happy.
Hey, Rusty, good to hear from you!

I asked the mr if he would be ok with me bringing in his mother’s collection and switching out my display cabinets . Our mothers’ glass in the upstairs and my bottles in the basement. So I brought in a box from the barn and got it all washed up, but haven’t made the switch. Then, yesterday I stopped at a little shop and spied these plates for $1.00 a piece. Had to have them. I think, according to what they are listed on eBay and Etsy, I did good.

Anyway, they help make a purdy table. ☺️

Well I went out yesterday to do a little playing with the new detector.
Getting to the site I realized I forgot my shovel-return trip home.

The control wouldn't turn on-ZILCH!:BangHead:

Grabbed the Deus 1 and grumbled along.
Called the dealer and he said plug it in-"I'm in the field"

So I plugged it in on the charger last night-2+hrs for it to come alive.
13.5 hrs on the charger-take it off-zilch-put it back on the charger-it works-off the charger-ZILCH
Battery is hashed-or some other glitch.
So now the hassles of getting it replaced.

Not is all lost after playing for awhile at a hard hit spot I decided to look at another permission's fields next door.
Not done yet-but on the corner of the intersection at the far end I noticed a flat area in the bush.

So I investigated-nothing but I went out into corn field, as I was going back to the truck.

The deer and the coons had taken a strip of corn down, and there was brick, glass, and bits of sheet copper/brass.
Iron targets that date the undocumented site as being pretty old.
So now the wait for the harvest as detecting in 8ft corn is a tad challenging.

I fell for them too! I see you sort of answered your own question. I found out that in the 1970’s through the 90’s there was a home party plan, Tiara Exclusives, that sold these plates. I found it ironic that I was attracted to these because my dinnerware and extras are from me being a designer in a home party plan. Now I am wondering how much of this glassware that I have inherited from my mom and mother-in-law is from these types of party plans.

No problem, Cap’n. You take care of business, I’ll guard the rum!

Good morning, ARC, Pepperj, bamasteve, pick time, and all ye other pirates! Our blossom is out with himself digging up real treasures, I’m guessing. Good for them! I hope she finds something bannerriffic!
I am going to spend my day in therapy also. Hopefully I find a bottle or something.
