Well I could of used some yesterday, and I have the photo to prove it :laughing7:
Now I am great at taking things apart mostly-that's why I loved scrapping.
Putting things back together can be a struggle as yesterday was proving.
Not enough hands, uff, and blue air seemed to help.
Got it back in place, one steel line connection to get lined up yet.
The old gal is 50 yrs old, strong as a horse, but she puts me on edge at times.
Need it to do the water tote moving 300 gallon each.
(Actually I just need to complete the better plan)

Blue air! L.o.l..

Tight fit there. Guess Ford engineers back then still had a sense of humor.
I did a pre-emptive strike against the snowblower last year and had a couple made up to replace the originals.
Would have been more than blue air mid winter if one blew.

You got it squared up though.
Now you can degrease it all and give it a coat of car wax! l.o.l..
(No , me neither.)

6 months in to this war in Ukraine its plainly evident that besides having a large nuclear arsenal the Russians have lost superpower status. Having studied and read many technical assessments of the Russian and Chinese hardware.....it is plain to see that American writers and analysts have drastically over rated the fighting capabilities of the Russian military. The biggest mistakes were made in the assessments of ground armor, and the air capabilities of there 4++ generation aircraft. The Russians have lost half of the su-35 airframes and pilots. This is there most advanced aircraft and was not long ago considered a match to the American made f-22 raptor. After 6 months, 2000 tanks, hundreds of aircraft, and 80,000 casualties the Russians are losing ground to a Ukraine fighting force thats armed with only a few of the high tech military pieces in the US inventory. The HIMARS system has become the darling of the us inventory, and its hi-tech guided rounds are absolutely crushing the Russians. The advent of guided and ramjet powered artillery shells has been the edge the Ukrainians needed !! As horrible and tragic as this conflict has been it has been absolutely fascinating watching the military hardware matchups......it is safe to say that constant fear mongering from the American military analyst have kept the flow of money pouring into american weaponry and defenses against this joke we call russia. Are they dangerous....yes.....should we be vigilant....yes....should we be prepared....yes !!

Im terrified that we have backed the bear into a corner, and its ready to fight to the death.....launch a nuke !!

Crimea being annexed became a line in the sand.
And demonstrated a cautionary ploy to others (especially Ukraine ) that was repeated when Russia claimed again to be liberating Russians in Ukraine's Donbass territory.

Ukraine was being what Ukraine was. And I'll hazard not ready or had been turning a dull eye to being prepared for an onslaught.. Yes it was going through the moves. But only enough to appear to be.

It helps that Zelensky's formal character was one of /is defiance.
What the prior administration's response/reaction may have been ; who knows?

When the U.S.A. offered him an exit by evacuation his saying "I need ammunition not a ride" bolstered enough of his countrymen/women to determine a resistance.
Followed by death and destruction and parts of Ukraine being pounded to rubble.

The destroyed value is incredible.
The loss of lives , livelihood , lifeways and parts of Ukraine's resources and structures too.
Ukraine has a grudge and is defending home turf.
Zelensky and supporters from within Ukraine did not roll over at the onset ; their incentive to do so now is even less.

Russia was lax in preparations too.
It's timing seemed right to Russia. After all a multifaceted objective meant occupation before Ukraine gained membership to more than a token internationally recognized united defense among allies.
The cautionary situation missed by Putin when faced with a target not interested in conceding was his dependence by delegating the condition of his military and armaments and equipment to others who showed him what he wanted to see.
Here in this parade is example of our discipline and modern weaponry.
But Putin did not look behind the "parade" of what he was shown to see what was (or wasn't) backing it up in reserve.

"For the mother country" has been a long expected sense of patriotism.
"For each rat what they can pocket" might be todays better sense.

When it is demanded of those in an administration to capitulate to a leader and to present facts as the leader would have them be presented ; the results in this case is a weakened military the leader either didn't recognize , or thought adequate as an occupational force due to underestimating Zelenskys resolve. .
Obviously no one convinced him otherwise.

Despite the Soviet era being history today , Putin might still lean too much on it's playbook.
Had Ukraine been left to fight on it's own capability alone Putin may well occupy it in full ; or at least have annexed the Donbass by now.
The "liberating" fellow countrymen ploy/tactic as was played in Crimea being annexed was a red flag to the international community though.
And unlike the Soviet era where Russia stepping on neighbors necks was just Russia being Russia , it didn't fly this time.

As much as other countries have done towards supporting Ukraine , Ukraine is dependent on it's own citizens to bleed and die as thier country is destroyed.
Without that lowly soldier in the field and fellow citizens supporting them in spirit if nothing else (though there is far more citizens extend ) it would be over.

Russia has been invaded before.
Lucky for it the world doesn't storm it today.
IF Ukraine follows up tentative incursions of strikes into Russia , Russia can have a taste of what Ukraine has been experiencing.
Russia claims a position of simply helping relieve countrymen in Ukraine.
Ukraine is being warred upon greatly by Russia.
I wouldn't want to be anywhere near the conflict. But it might be Russia's turn to be on the defensive. And rightfully so by my standards.
Is the time right?
IF nukes can be stifled and destroyed /contained in place , yes.
Who knows how they've been maintained. Lets assume they are functional and up to date.
But that's just me. Willing to see the Kremlin be rubble as a goal in exchange for what has been done to Ukraine's destroyed regions ; after the teeth are broken /removed from Russia's nuclear abilities.

Just back from her very first boat ride No puking, crying.or nonsense .Seems to enjoy the sights, smells, sounds. About an hour in she fell asleep :laughing7: Last pix. she's waiting to off-load at the dock :)

What's blue air? 🤔
The 🐦 and squirrels learnt a whole new vocabulary this morning.
Got her done 2.5hrs for 3 fittings and a machine 🔩
Window cleaned engine de-greaser.
Time to get some ⛽️ into her before a I have to bleed the injectors.
No wonder when I mentioned that the controls were backwards the previous owner grumbled something, I understand that now.
I will mark this on the life's resume.
Obtw

Top of the day to you John.
I believe I have heard that one before.
No more alcohol for me-till the next time.:occasion14:

It will be a very long time I'm really sick
I drank 28 pop sized Baby Duck wine one night.
Woke up I'm the dog house.
Crawled to the bed.
12 hrs I swore off booze.
Sick till the blood was coming up.
12 hrs later I could suck on a piece of ice.
Didn't stop me though.
Corpus Christi TX.
Drank too much rum, woke up to an egg size boil behind the ear. Sick wasn't the issue, ended up in emergency room.
Alcohol poisoning 12 hrs later I got to escape.
Didn't stop me.
There is a low and a 2 week blackout was it.

So the sick as a dog usually is just a second thought in a total quit.

Getting severely hung over for me also comes with severe anxiety which I hate experiencing so when I have times like this I won't touch alcohol for months. It's not worth feeling like this

Good morning pirates and piratesses! Slept in (yay!), then got sidetracked a couple times. Look at this visitor. I’m not sure about the ID. It was totally white.
Um wow WD... that is an egret... we have them everywhere here.

Crazy its that far north.

I thought it was a little lost. I have a book to help me ID birds. Great Egret can be found in Ohio. But, check this out. We have Blue Herons here a lot. I thought it looked a lot like one of those, but a little smaller. Then I see this in the book.
